Older version of clover worked, thank you!

I replaced all the files in /clover/ with the .zip in the first post. I inserted the USB. I booted the computer and selected the USB and tried to load/install OSX, but I got a neverending string of something like:

appleusbxhci port resetandcreatedevice failed to start device 0xe00002e9

appleusbxhci port resetandcreatedevice failed to create device 0xe00002e9

appleusbxhci port resetandcreatedevice failed to start device 0xe00002e9

appleusbxhci port resetandcreatedevice failed to create device 0xe00002e9

appleusbxhci port resetandcreatedevice failed to start device 0xe00002e9

appleusbxhci port resetandcreatedevice failed to create device 0xe00002e9

appleusbxhci port resetandcreatedevice failed to start device 0xe00002e9

appleusbxhci port resetandcreatedevice failed to create device 0xe00002e9

Any ideas?

ok, see origin.zip attached.

-Post Ioreg, extract with Ioreg Explorer

-Run it, post files generate in ur desktop

I don't understand these two steps. these looks like mac apps. I don't have mac running on my hackintosh rig yet. I get to the clover boot screen, I select "Boot macOS from OSX Flash Drive" and then I get a black screen with a never-ending series of errors.

-Install Clover with options in post above

-Replace folder

zip.gif  CLOVER.zip   2.26MB   3 downloads

When installing clover, the Drivers64UEFI options were not expanded in your screenshot. I see that it adds up to 111KB, though, so my guess is that I should enable these options. Can you confirm?

1Kk4SnG.png

Assuming that is correct, I will do this, and I will replace /clover/ with the contents of the zip you just uploaded.

Is the next step to insert the USB, select it from boot menu, and then select "Boot macOS from OSX Flash Drive" BEFORE doing the two steps below?

-Run it

zip.gif  Olarila.command.zip   1.02KB   1 downloads

-Install WebDriver

https://images.nvidi...05.05.05f01.pkg

Reboot

Hello

May I ask what does the VoodooTSCSync.kext do exactly? I have "i7-7700" system and it works pretty well with or without voodootsc so I want to know what difference it makes.

Thank you

Synchronize the TSC on intel cpus, after native support we dont need more.

in many cases boot only with cpus=1. Check Google about that.

if work for u...done!

I need fakecpuid and tscsync

Check ur PM with AppleIntelInfo.kext by Pike and post one ioreg with Ioreg Explorer

I could really use some assistance. I followed your instructions. I installed sierra successfully. When my comp rebooted I get no signal when I try to boot into mac os through clover. First ever hackintosh so to be honest I'm clueless.

Specs:

i7-7700k

z270 mark 2

strix r9 380x 8gb

256ssd

RE:#157

Didn't work.

What DID work was VoodooHDA.kext-289.zip. Gave me 4 HDMI ports to use( 3 are actually DP & 1 HDMI). Works Perfectly.

Hopefully this can save someone else with the same H/W a lot of aggravation.

Golden!

boot from hd, boot from usb only for install ;)

I can't even install! See images below. This is what I do:

1) insert USB

2) turn on computer

3) press F12 to pick boot device

4) select UEFI: General USB Flash Disk 1.00, Partition 1, press return

5) Clover bootloader starts. I select the first option (with the apple logo)

6) Screen goes black and shows a bunch of error messages.

Put the Clover installer on the flash drive too.

Now you can start the instalation without problem (I guess).

      How install

      UEFI Setup Configuration and Installation

      UEFI configuration

      - Shutdown and insert the flash.
      - Power on with DEL pressed to enter BIOS setup.
      - Change value: Periphelrals - Initial Display to IGP
      - Change value: Periphelrals - USB Configuration - XHCI Hand-off to ENABLE
      - Change value: Chipset - VT-d to DISABLE
      - Change value: Chipset - Internal Graphics to ENABLE
      - Change value: Chipset - DVMT Pre-Allocated to 128M
      - Change value: Chipset - Wake On Lan to DISABLE
      - Save & Exit Setup

      - Now, hold the F12
      - In the list, select your flash drive.
      - It will show twice. One with UEFI prefix and another without.
      - Select with UEFI prefix. Ie.: "UEFI: Sandisk Cruzer"

      The installer will start.

      Format destination disk

Format the disk with GUID partition mapping and name it "HD".

      - Select Disk Utility in the list, then press Continue.
      - Click in View, then "Show All Devices".
      - Select the destination Disk, then Erase.
      - Name: HD, Format: APFS and Scheme: GUID Partition Map

      Close Disk Utility.

      Select "Install macOS", then Continue.
      Follow instructions in screen.

      After install

After first part install the system will reboot.

The second part of the installation will begin. This will take 16 minutes.

      Post installation

      Install bootloader

When the second part of install finish, the system will reboot again.

After performing the user initial setup and go to the desktop, you need to install Clover on internal disk.

Open the Clover installer inside flash drive that you copied before.

Use same options above but choose the system partition this time.

Now you need to replace the config.plist inside your destination disk EFI parittion with config.plist inside flash card EFI partition.

The flash drive EFI partition is unmounted. Mount with terminal "sudo diskutil mount /dev/rdiskXs1". To know what X is, use "diskutil list", most likely is 1.

      Last step

Copy all Kexts from flash drive to /Library/Extensions, with those commands in Terminal:
      sudo cp -R /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.14/* /Library/Extensions/ sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Extensions sudo chown -R root:wheel /Library/Extensions sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel sudo kextcache -system-caches Restart the system.

      It's done!

      And last but not least

Asus Prime B360M-A or Asus Prime H310M-E :

Which of these two motherboards would give less hassle in a Hackintosh build - requiring fewer after install fixes/updates to get everything working in Mojave or High Sierra?

These are the only two Asus models that I can afford, fit the form factor in my build, and already have had a BIOS upgrade by Asus to 9th-generation - if I want to replace the CPU with an i9 in the future (for now I'll be using i7-8700 or even i3-8350k but I want to future proof a bit)

      Thanks guys!

Hi guys. Just wanted to say this is my new favorite forum for mac hacks

I'm trying to get mojave to work, and using the guide's (moderator made, on the front page) clover folder I ALMOST got it! T.T

There's something still wrong tho. lol.

      - Install to a HDD formated as case-sensitive APFS goes black at 2 minutes remaining. Is it supposed to fill the progress bar 100%? If so then I have a problem.
      - Assuming the install went well, I tried to boot to "MacOS Prebooter" from clover screen and got that error.

I have a Z170m ASUS, awesome board. I'm sure it can be done. With Intel 6700k.
      Latest clover. Guide's clover config!!

      What do you guys think?
      - mobo config problem
      - other hardware thing (I have many harddrives connected?)
      - clover config
      - need some driver/kext
      - something else

      THANK YOU!

PS: I've tried upgrading with the App store download on a Sierra system to arrive in the same screen, with the same error.
I'll also spend some time today searching the forums. Just busy atm, and thanks for any help or tips!!
