APCIBatteryManager is known to clash with VoodooI2C and cause jittery movement. Try removing it if you have it and check if that improves things.

Hello Alex,

I can confirm that I was using APCIBatteryManager.

After disabling it I still have the same issue, so it's not even after sleep.

Should I go through with the troubleshoot procedure you've listed on Github?

I know it, but it update on 4 Jul,maybe not work on 18A391

it should work, but it is untested from my side. I've learned to never use a .0 release from apple, so the repo will be updated after release of 10.14.1 ;-)

Hello, I'm  experiencing the same issue, but only after sleep. In my case the cursor jumps randomly, I can reproduce the issue moving the cursor or in a straight line or making circles.

I'm using VoodooI2C v2.1 with SSDT from the git repo and patched with  SSDT-I2CX.aml and SSDT-XOSI.aml from the same post.

I really don't know the cause, so now I'm going to update to the last version and I'll tell you

What Mac OS version are you running? I'm still on 10.13.3 due to DisplayLink driver issues.

Hello I am currently running 10.13.6.

Now I have also upgraded VoodooI2C to 2.1.4 and the number of jumps has reduced but the issues comes also after boot and does's seems related to sleep anymore.

I am also using APCIBatteryManager.

If you need I can also upload my troubleshooting files like ACPI or Ioreg.

For the DA200 issue I can confirm the USB-C network adapter works only if plugged in after boot and it breaks after sleep.

Should I use USBInjectall?

By the way I have also ordered on eBay a USB 3 (non C) ethernet adapter...

I've updated VoodooI2C to v2.1.2. This includes support for Mojave, fixes the hidd CPU usage issue people here reported, and also improves click detection.

seems to work now. thank you :-) i added your driver to the default setup in the tutorial.

Awesome stuff wmchris. For some reason when using your clover setup the native gestures aren't enabled for me whilst when I used https://github.com/soulomoon/Dell-Precision-5510-OSX clover setup the gestures were native and working. Thought it was very odd. Any idea why that would be? Just got back into hackintoshing again after a long hiatus glad to see the progress made.

I was able to fix the teleporting by the assistant of Alexandred at: https://github.com/alexandred/VoodooI2C/issues/113

Really awesome trackpad now!

Anybody having problems playing back iTunes content on Mojave? From what I have read there was an extension called Shiki that handled this but now it is merged into WhateverGreen. Seems to be an HDCP issue. Whilst I could download the movies and it would work fine it would be cool to stream them like a real Mac. DRM sucks.... :P

Will do! For now the VDADecoderChecker is stating this which is a good start:

GVA info: [11.7.34] AVFQTX_CreateInstance 0x108273000, [1920x1056::1280x720] profile_level:77:41, tt(fp):0(0), usage:0, frame_mbs:1, di:0, dither:1, oold:0, stream_ram:0, stream_buf_size:2097152, fmt: 420v ...

GVA info: AVFQTX_CreateInstance, GFX:0 ,Bandwidth:94003200, PhysicalAccelerator create error = 0

GVA info: AVFQTX_DisposeInstance 0x108273000, scheduled:0, output:0, high_perf:0[  nan%], blocked:0[  nan%], error:0, slices:0, maxFrameSize:0

Hardware acceleration is fully supported

I will have to do some more research later in the week about this as only GVA info: Successfully connected to the Intel plugin, offline Gen75 is mentioned. Since Mojave is a new release that is most likely why... I will try shikigva=1 now but probably not that easy :P

Edit: As predicted not that easy... will have to do more digging

Even downloading videos and playing them causes this.

I just updated to 10.14.

The new CLOVER from the repo is not working, I ended up upgrading my 10.13 config, replacing the patched folder and dowloading the latest version of the WhateverGreen.kext (that replaces IntelGraphicsFixup.kext)

Do you mind to elaborate on what is not working from the folder.

I just updated to 10.14.

Hmm that is odd as it is working for me. With a few issues. The fans seem to be over active and then quiet down after a while of using. The native trackpad drivers (VoodooI2C) work but the right click doesn't for me for some odd reason. And of course as mentioned above HDCP is broke for iTunes and Netflix via Safari at this point in time.

i'd double check the functionality of the repo before removing the unstable statement on two different XPS 9550 with different configurations, both worked fine. so i doubt it had something to do with the pository.

Don't worry guys, it is still too early for me to consider it an exclamation.

I'm playing with it since yesterday, but I think the main problem is that I'm not able to boot with the folder of the repo. I tried to play with the config.plist and the kexts, but it doesn't boot using VirtualSMC, I had to stick to FakeSMC.

I experienced what I suppose are the known conflicts between VoodooI2C and ACPIBatteryManager, I momentarily disabled the second one and will need to understand how to make the new battery kexts working.

Anyway I'll try all over and give you an update on the situation.

It's in fact the first time that I'm not able to start directly from the repo folder. The slide works fine with AllocFix and slide=0, so that's not part of the issue.

--- UPDATE ---
Sadly I'm no way near to the solution. I am stuck at a KP as soon as I remove FakeSMC and the related kexts, as well as SMCHelper64, and try to use VirtualSMC.

I would like to post the KP, but for some weird reason it logged it only when I happened to be using FakeSMC(I tried various configs and got KPs with it too), with the other configuration it is not saving it. I have no KP log of all the tries I've done with VirtualSMC (I will in case post a photo), it is a KP related to cpu with a RC2 error anyway.

It has to be I must have done something wrong, but I really have no idea what...

With the (sort of) working config that lets me in the OS I have no battery management but the rest seems to be working as of now.

EDIT: OsxAptioFix and AllocFix with slide=0 worked for me

Based on my memmap output. After calculating my slide value it was 144. Base on the error cannot relocate 0x13ed5 pages at 0x18ca4000

I tried from aptioDrv1 ,2 and, 3. Using different slide values from 143 to 148. I didn't boot. I also tried aptioFixdrv with Allocfix or OsxLowMemory. That didn't work either.

I don't why. Yesterday it booted fine once. After that it didn't

Did you do a fresh install or an upgrade? Maybe you have some old kexts left, which are installed in L/E or S/L/E ? Most of the time these are the culprit

There are multiple possible issues: bios upgrade, new kexts (bigger prelinked kernel), adding new hardware...

The only thing I did was to update my BIOS to the latest. Will I face any issues by using AllowFix with OsxAptioFix. Since this was the last resort as instructed on the tutorial?

It was an upgrade, but the only kexts I have in S/L/E are the ones of VoodooPS2Controller and the audio (backup and modified - about that it was weird to see that I didn't have to patch it again, audio worked OTB)

I leave you here the list of kexts, can you spot something I may have missed?

I have put together this simple little guide for anybody wanting to use a Patched DSDT EFI with the same configuration as me.
This is also a thread to discuss everything Z390 Pro and try and help where we can and maybe make things a little better for you.

A huge massive thank you to @glasgood @MaLd0n @larabee These three guys have helped me and talked me so much and are as helpful as you could ever get, Without them I wouldn't have a perfect working build like I do or be putting up this Guide & Discussion Thread sharing the hard work and countless hours that we have all put in to this.

This EFI and Patched DSDT have been created to work with a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro, 9900k with a Vega 56 but has also been tested and verified fully working with the following Hardware using Catalina 10.15.3

      CPU's
      8700k, 9600k, 9700k, 9900k

      GPU's
      RX 560, 570, 580, 590, Vega 56, Vega 64, Radion VII, 5700, 5700 XT
(If you have success with any different CPU or GPU's then please do let me know)

      Description
This esentially an ultra-simplistic version that is stable without the use of a deploy or complicated file installations and copies. Highly recommend using DW1560 wifi card, killer wifi isn't supported. This does include a copy of Clover, which of course I take no credit for. I am only responsible for minor changes in files and plists, as well as placement and instructions throughout the guide (as well as the work used from previous projects). Many files and ideas are sourced from @maz-1, @syscl, and my previous guides Granted, many files are similar or the same but there is significantly less of them and/or they are predeployed into spots where they will work just as well, even if not as efficient on bootup. Esentially, this guide is designed to provide a perfectly working setup with little knowledge of the topic and without optimization (because often they can break things). Most patches on the main plist use patches implemented by him as well. ****This guide does work excellently however and will provide you with a near perfect setup for Catalina for your XPS 9350, and is currently my daily driver as I struggled using the referenced users files as well.
      Styling
This guide is designed to be literally as thorough as possible to appeal to those who really don't understand many of the things in @maz-1's guide or some of the other users as they assume you would already understand this information. It does not cover complex topics like undervolting etc etc Notes
Never tested USB C except for charging, works great no issues with sleep, wakeup. power management is defaulted as I found with @maz-1 it had issues when on battery switching from AC USB devices eject on sleep (not really an issue) Haven't implemented a Bluetooth solution into this yet, as I don't really use it -- will be added ASAP (I believe KILLER WIFI will NOT work, must use one of the supported chipsets (DW1560 is excellent) BIOS Setup
Set all SATA operation as AHCI Disable Secure Boot, Fast Boot For Coil Whine improvement disable C-States Enable UEFI Booting Recommended: Clean Install (Preinstall steps)
Format a USB (16GB) as Journaled and then proceed to download the latest Catalina Installer Patcher Application Download the latest Catalina installer from within the Patcher App, and select to download a new copy and install to your USB device Download the clover configurator application and mount the EFI of the USB partition, then copy the contents of the Files linked above to the EFI Folder within the EFI partition. ** This is because the App Store installers will often not download a full installer, just an truncated version that downloads the installer files from the interent while installing. Thus, they're not bootable from a USB as they're not complete. That is why you should use this method to make sure the installer is usable for bootable media.
      Install Steps
Simply use F12 to boot from the USB device, and select the USB Device and then boot from the Install mac OS partition. I have defaulted the installer to boot into verbose mode so I can easily see the errors you guys are seeing if you encounter them. If everything goes well, you can disable these from the boot arguments selection of Clover Configurator Boot into the USB Device, and follow the steps to format your SSD from the installer to install Mac OS Catalina. NOTE THE TRACKPAD WILL NOT FUNCTION AT THIS POINT, BUT THE TOUCHSCREEN WILL. This is caused by the way the installer handles Kext loading but because the touchscreen is being loaded via usb and the keyboard in a different method (which I can explain in detail if you'd like, the install will be possible. Do not be alarmed if the installer takes a long time to boot into, this is expected Once you have done this step, use F12 to select the USB and boot into the installer from the SSD in the options menu. (you cannot boot natively yet as the EFI isn't copied into the SSD yet. Setup computer as normal, touchpad, brightness, etc, should all be functioning at this point. Same with wifi. Then, you should using Clover configurator copy the contents of the USB EFI into the EFI folder of your SSD EFI partition (in the folder) Now we will add this as a native boot option. Setup computer as normal, touchpad, brightness, etc, should all be functioning at this point. Same with wifi. Then, you should using Clover configurator copy the contents of the USB EFI into the EFI folder of your SSD EFI partition (in the folder) Now will we add this as a boot entry so you can always boot from this natively without the USB. Boot Entry Setup
Boot into the BIOS of the computer, then navigate to the Boot setup (or entries (not sure what it is called exactly, but it will be a list of the options your computer selects to boot) Click add new, and make sure the USB isn't plugged in. Select the only option that is avaiable, and in FS0 navigate to Boot/BOOTx64. Add this as an entry, then select this as whatever priority you would like. Credits
Credit Hackintosher.com for basic patches (although @syscl) covered some Credit to @Rehabman Credit to @syscl Kexts, and his contributers (@maz-1) Messages and Facetime
Using Clover Configuator generate your own Serials, Board Numbers, MLB There are various guides online to do this and as default they're set to essentially Null (Fakeserial) This is fairly straightforward and there is lots of documentation, just don't open these apps until you've done this properly. Finished!
