urig-herb
Hi, the itunes lame encoder plugin from blacktree works fine! I've used the version 2.08 (available in the forum) and compiled lame for myself using the latest beta version 3.97b (just ./configure, make, sudo make install). It's must faster on my system than the standard itunes encoder. It hits usually 7-8x realtime speed, whereas the itunes encoder is below 2x. With this plugin it is possible to encode with much better speed thanks to the intel binary of lame and the quality is also much better than orignal itunes encoder! suleiman
can you post your compiled lame dmg file here?
urig-herb
can you post your compiled lame dmg file here? There is no "dmg". This is as simple as it gets: Dowload the source from sourceforge, unpack it in one directory. Then open Terminal and type ./configure make sudo make install Thats it! I don't know how to do a binary distribution, but I think it is not necessary. Everyone who achieved to install osx86 is able to install lame from source.
