ceynox
type mach_kernel.mifki when booting dvd... (F8)
fabioxx
please I ask help here because I want not to write in other trhead where surely nobody will reply, cause I'm noob and don't know too many things. It's about the two kernels, semthex and mifki. I installed 10.4.8 on my system selecting semthex during installation and, like a miracle, now I can run it natively without problem (i fixed some issues like about this mac, ical), but I've not yet understood if I had to select mifki instead of semthex because there was a description error (any way my installation run!) and mifki is for sse3 cpu, like mine. Then the command mach_kernel.ecc......is only for those who can boot only from dvd? For me that I can boot from hard disk this is not required? Please, if you can, explain me what are things to do with he new kernel or simply I already have all functioning in my system without any command or anyelse? I apologize for my bad english. Bye. joe75
The DVD uses semthex kernel To enable mifki for every boot, add "mach_kernel.mifki" to the kernel flags in the boot.plist /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/apple.com.Boot
