makk
Hello, I would like to thank every individual who contributes to this forum! Great work everyone! Thank you very much! Thinking about the long hard sleepless nights, tiresome minds, and frustrations. Being patient and taking a break and doing what the individuals do to help others, is a great thing. Thank you. I had to reinstall about 50 times to get the gist. because my mind was Windowed. but perseverance pays off. ( not sure about my poor laptop which has taken a beating ) any how it takes reading and re-reading to catch all the intricate details of building a Hackintosh. It isn't easy, but after your mind gets filled little by little it begins to make sense. With that said, I'm still learning and need your help so I can in turn help others. That's the way it works here. Have to give back. The issue at the moment: my problem thus far is at one time I was able to see PCI hardware in System Report, from About This Mac. but after I made a big change to my config.plist for Clover Bootloader, (HD3000 boot glitch) and switching ports for Display, I noticed no more PCI hardware being reported. I did not pay attention to that part because I was working on several others. What setting in config.plist would do such? on a side note: powermanagement working but, how to tell if working like it should? just because AppleIntelInfo shows or Intel Power Gadget signals or HWMonitor shows the CPU speeds change, doesn't mean it is working like it should could be some hiccups. Obvious reasons are there. However, I had to for instance switch shutdown script in DSDT from Asus to Intel which I got from adding a repository from Rehabman or Toleda? Forgot which one, I apologize. THank you, Stu config.plist.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/318021-pci-hardware-not-showing-up-in-system-report/ Share on other sites
makk
PCI shows up now Patched the DSDT with the right Sandybridge IDE0 and IDE1 to Sata. << big thanks to Artur_pt Many thanks Artur_pt I'm using the DSDT you provided with changes I had to make in order to boot past AppleLPC. still don't know enough. I'm using MaciASl 1.4v from SF. I was hoping to find the right Sandybridge patches to marry up with this laptop. The EH01 and EH02 did not work. I could boot and use keyboard only. No mice. I still don't know enough to make the correct changes to accommodate EH01 and EH02 so that the USB devices work. good whack Stu Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/318021-pci-hardware-not-showing-up-in-system-report/#findComment-2321798 Share on other sites
