New to the hackintosh community. I have a Qotom mini-PC (popular on Amazon) that is Intel-based. I've installed El Capitan via Clover and everything basically works, USB, wi-fi, Ethernet, HDMI, iMessage, etc. However, I can't get the system to recognize the Intel graphics. Display is sluggish and stretched out.

In the Clover setup I have to de-select "Inject Intel" or the system will hang forever on the Apple screen with the progress bar almost complete.

Info gives me the following regarding video (complete info.txt attached):

Graphics/Displays:

Display:

Type: GPU
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Total): 5 MB
VRAM (Dynamic, Max):
Vendor: Intel (0x8086)
Device ID: 0x0156
Revision ID: 0x0009
Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded
Displays:
Display:
Resolution: 1280 x 1024
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes

I think I'm close but it gets confusing with the different nomenclature such as Haswell, Skylake, etc. I'm not sure which kext needs to load for this. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello, welcome to InsanelyMac! First of all, to provide adequate help I'll need to know your computer specs. Intel Graphics are easy to get working as long as I know what generation your CPU is.

You said you were confused about that, so here is a guide at picking out your generation of CPU:

If your CPU has a number with 3 letters, e.g. i5-650 then you have an Arrandale CPU.

Furthermore, if your CPU number is within:

2000's, e.g. i7-2700K, then you have a Sandy Bridge CPU.

3000's e.g. i7-3770K, you have an Ivy Bridge CPU.

4000's e.g. i7-4770K, you have a Haswell CPU.

5000's e.g. i7-5690X, you have a Broadwell CPU.

6000's, e.g. i7-6700K, you have a Skylake CPU.

Thanks very much for your help!

I don't see anything i5 or i7 in a data dump, but it shows Celeron 1037U as the brand string with Intel NM70 Express Chipset.

Here's a link to the hardware:

Perhaps the following might be useful?

hw.cpufamily: 526772277

machdep.cpu.vendor: GenuineIntel
machdep.cpu.brand_string: Intel® Celeron® CPU 1037U @ 1.80GHz
machdep.cpu.family: 6
machdep.cpu.model: 58
machdep.cpu.extmodel: 3
machdep.cpu.extfamily: 0

machdep.cpu.signature: 198313

CPU Vendor = 756E6547 Model=306A9
BrandString = Intel® Celeron® CPU 1037U @ 1.80GHz

Yes, exactly what artur_pt said. The only way first generation Intel HD Graphics can work is with a laptop that has a modified framebuffer. They do not work on desktop computers. If you're looking for a cheap, easy to use and install GPU that works natively with GraphicsEnabler=Yes, try the nVidia GT 210 2GB. For $20, it is a very capable card.

EDIT: Unfortunately, by looking at the image of your computer it doesn't seem to have any room for a dedicated GPU. In this case, the only thing you can do to actually get OS X to work is to delete AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext and AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext. You won't have GPU acceleration, but resolution can be fixed. This is the furthest you can get.

Best regards,
