what was the bios setting?

i loaded default bios settings pressing F5...and after this i had a correct value of MSR package limit. Before i had manual overclocking etc and this create errors in showing correct MSR P limit.

Even if we have different MB you can try the same loading bios default parameters and then run again AppleIntelInfo.kext

thanks thenightflyer, i'm a little scared changing all bios settings at once to default, i will suss it out a little more

does your bios allow to save different configuration? With asus mb you can save different configuration in different profiles so you can recall a prevous one when you make changes.

does your bios allow to save different configuration? With asus mb you can save different configuration in different profiles so you can recall a prevous one when you make changes.

 

I think it does, i will double... no triple check and backup twice LOL

Hi Fabiosun, are you'r sleep & wake working well?If yes are you using some patch or just kext? My hackintosh can sleep but when wake it will be automatically  restart
Are you lower idle is stable?
 
How to get this MSR_PMG_CST_CONFIG_CONTROL.......(0xE2) : 0x7E000007? Any special patch?Or this because different CPU type?

And how to get Package C-State Auto Demotion & Package C-State Undemotion enable?Any special setting on bios or just patch?

Your output says you are using EIST enabled, so your system in that condition should have all low steps but maybe poor benchmark

In my case , now, I have also EIST active because I have a dual system (Windows 10/ OS X) and in windows I need of it

If you want you can use in this case 

(wrsmr fix to get CPU max) © okrasit

to have best performance with EIST enabled

Obviously in this case you shouldn't have lower steps anymore

I'm only use patch from brumbaer 5960 & 5 patch from piker alpha based on my cpu type (from Broadwell E to Broadwell) | cpuid set info, xcpm bootstrap, xcpm pkg scope, xcpm SMT scope & reboot fix

 

Now try to configure the wake problem..Still have problem with this

which problem do you have with sleep/wake?

 

Do you use voodooTSC kext ?

if so try to add also in config.plist darkwake=8 (on my case 8 is fine)

add also codec commander to solve missing audio after wake up

I have problem with wake..it's always restart..if not it will stuck on black screen with bios post code 30, but now it's solves..thanks mate for u'r help  :)

 

To solves this problem like u'r suggestions before i need to use voodooTSC.kext(changes in config.plist from 11 to 15) and also need to add  in config.plist darkwake=0, darkwake=8 it's not work for me.

codec commander i already used it before.

Hi Fabiosun, are you know how to solves the usb problem?All my usb port is read as usb 3 even for usb 2, i already trying using raise port limit patch and also use USBInjectAll.kext but still no effect. Not using patch it's same too..trying to use tiny ssdt but still same..any suggestions for this problem?

Yes, Fabio I seen a lot of those me self also on my setup, but since you have an account open at PIKER Alpha you could ask him how to correct any of those error COREDUET showing on the logs, let me know what are your findings. Also I own a MacMini and I have Sierra installed there as well let me know if you need any diagnostic report from there as well

I have Sierra ups and running on my X99-Deluxe II/6950X system thanks to all the contributors on this forum.

The one problem I have is getting the Nvidia drivers working with my Gigabyte GTX 970. I have tried all combinations of web driver/nvidia enabled/disabled/ and frustratingly enough the odd time I get the acceleration but on the next boot I loose it to the black screen even though I use the exact same video flags.

 

Seems like I am missing something here ... any suggestions?

 

Screen sharing has been a life saver in all these machinations!

I'm glad it works!

toleda's method is the closest way to have "vanilla" onboard audio. Even with the same quality of Voodoo, I would have used it anyway. That said, I must admit I am no expert about VoodooHDA at all!

 

Why not use AppleALC? That is the most vanilla method insofar as it requires zero maintenance through updates and makes no changes at all to SLE.

I haven't tried AppleALC yet and I don't see a reason to. Place AppleHDADisabler.kext  and VoodooHDA.kext in LE and forget about it. No DSDT edits, no config.plist edits ie Boot args or Device>Audio ID. Doesn't get any easier and survives updates.
