Installing only IOHIDFamily.kext will seriously break many other kexts. You can update kernel cache to see:

sudo kextcache -i /
I notice in the new IOHIDFamily.kext/PlugIns there is IOHIDNXEventRouter.plugin, which is new in 10.12...
You're right.

Its temporary. I hope fix after release sierra open source

Thank you

I just installed 10.12.1 Beta the second time thinking there may have been some slip-up the first time around, although the process was completely automated.

Well, the second fresh install(upgrade) produces the same error.

The error is my wifi is broken. It shows as no hardware installed. It is the combo wifi/bluetooth chipset from Broadcom bcrm4360.

This card works flawlessly on all previous iterations of OSX and Sierra. It works in Windows.

The funny thing is the bluetooth half (a different chip) of the card works.

So I revert back to Sierra the second time.

Anyone has the same problem with bcrm4360?

To clarify, this is a hack.

My mac mini 2011 has much older wifi chipset so it has no issue.

Sorry for the delay, but I had no opportunity before. I do not know if you've solved the problem, but if you want to try this. As I said, to me it has always worked until the last Sierra. I've tried with other options and only this is what works for me. Install the kext with Kext Wizard or another app, rebuid cache and permissions and restart the PC. If the wifi get activated, apply the patch of 5Ghz and that's all. If it works well, save a copy of the kext because whenever there is an update, it is necessary to repeat the process.

So far, 10.12.1 DP2 has had a big impact on my menu bar.  MenuMeters won't load.  HimmelBar won't load.  HWSensors won't load.  iStat Menu Meters are still working.  Anyone else lose menu bar apps?

EDIT:  I get this in Console when I try to open HWSensors:

*** Assertion failure in -[NSMenu insertItem:atIndex:], /Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppKit/AppKit-1504.29/Menus.subproj/NSMenu.m:703

Ya, this version 10.12.1 does not seem to be as friendly as the previous ones. It caused several difficulties on my X99 Pro and nor Nvidia Web Driver still there, but again I won. We're here is to it!
The only good thing I saw so far, was that the speed of my Ram, appears correct in the "About My Mac" and this had never happened before :P

Now then just because I feel like it, I'll do a RAM upgrade to 48 GB :thumbsup_anim:

It appears that the keyboard issue in 10.12.1 DP2 is limited to USB keyboards.  I know that it has not affected my PS2 keyboard.  Does anyone have a BT keyboard and can test that out?

BTW, 10.12.0 brought changes to the PS2 keyboards by preventing the function keys from working as they previously did.  A fix for that is being developed by the people that make the Karabiner app.  It appears, however, that Apple is still changing its HID drivers.

EDIT:  Each reboot brings new surprises.  Now, I have HW Sensors working again but TotalFinder is not loading.

Would use karabiner-elements to remap H and I keys, but seems like the A key is dead.. doesn't get picked up by the karabiner-event viewer. I'm pretty sure this has to do whti new MBP and those missing F keys.

Shouldn't have updated to this..

EDIT: A, I, H keys started working after installing karabiner-elements and logging in and out again. Apple wont be able to recognise your keyboard type after you install it and > gets replaced with ” (but it's no big deal since you can replace it with karabiner)

here is the karabiner.json file if someone needs it (changes command, option, and ” with >)

Also update to beta 2 here (build 16B2333A) and all i can say after using it for about 90 mins. now is: no problems so far. No glitches with usb-connected keyboard, no glitches on any other terms.

Runs good so far... but will keep you informed, if i will detect any anormalies.

PS: that may cause of a complete fresh install of Sierra just yesterday: completely formated SSD and fresh install from the ground up - SIERRA release - macOS 10.2.1 beta 1 - and today updated to beta 2 via SoftwareUpdate from App-store.

Ok, upgraded the RAM to 48GB (6x8GB), the OS recognizes only 40GB (5x8GB)... Very, very funny  :thumbsdown_anim:  :(
