My internal microphone is not showing up on IDT 92HD73C1X5. Attached is my codec dump. Please help! Thank you!

codec_dump.txt

It is not the dump we want to see. You have to provide dump from VoodooHDA by utility getdump.

I use in Mojave voodoo 2.9.0 V-12 sound, which works fine!!! BUT ! there is no rear(green) stereo output. How can I add this output? The present selectable outputs are good, but I wish to add one more. Unfortunately I have no 7.1 speaker for the computer, just home theatre for the room. (the SPDIF out works fine!)

What are available now:

1. 7.1CH (green+orange+black+grey REAR)

2. headphone (green FRONT). THIS IS WHAT I WISH TO ADD TO REAR TOO!

3. 6 kind of digital-out for HDMI

4. 2 kinds of SPDIF-out

My config: Ga-x77z-ud5h (ALC 898) +i7 3770K+RX580+16 GB ram

I DO hope that someone can help me ... I never used voodoo sound before, but for Mojave I could not find other solution ... THANK YOU !!!!

Other questions: If I use the voodooHDA then can I remove from the clover kexts the RealtekALC.kext and Lilu.kext?

There are also some patches in config.plist /kext patches which are concern to AppleHDA. Do I remove or disable them?

Thank you!

Yes remove other kext audio not necessary/ remove patch appleHDA. VoodooHDA is supposing to work without that

Have a look here for the Green Front Audio jack

Hi,

Voodoo has been working great for me for some time using the "Green Rear" stereo connection, but I've never been able to use the SPDIF-out. The connected amplifier reports "No Digital Data". Ideally I'd like to send Dolby 5.1, or even better DTS as the amp supports this, over the optical link.

Any ideas as to why the SPDIF output isn't working, and how to get more than stereo once it is?

The SPDIF output is on a PCI card, V/D 1102/0005. Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Blaster_X-Fi, which apparently supports DTS output.

Find attached my dump file.

Thanks,

Steve

Open Audio MIDI Setup and restrict SPDIF frequency to 48kHz

In Audio Midi Setup the SPDIF-out (Black Rear) is configured as '2 ch 24-bit integer 48.0 kHz' but no output detected.

The amp has 'DTS 96/24' logo on the front.

Thanks,

Steve

Guys, Somebody can give me a hand here? I upgrade to Mojave and install the last Voodoohda, works perfect! I just have 2 problems to solve.

First: Jack sense is not workin, I need to change between speaker and headphones manually.

Second: HDAsettings loader is not workin. So every time I start the computer I need to change manually from headphones to speaker.

I am adding the gepdump

Can I fix this with a patch?

      Hi,

I use AppleALC v1.3.5, I can see the device in system info but no sound. Any idea?

      Thanks!

So I have an HP Envy Notebook (15t-q400) which features two Band & Olufsen speakers (tweeters) and one subwoofer - the audio codec used is the ALC290 (aka the ALC 3241). I'm running on Mojave. So far I've tried AppleALC with Lilu and have no luck - the audio plays through the headphones - although very poorly - but not the external speakers at all, and I've tried everything short of writing my own XML file for it. So I've decided to go for using the VoodooHDA kext.

While VoodooHDA sees my devices immediately, they are strangely configured, and I cannot use the subwoofer or even see it listed as a device. This is my main problem.

As I'm aware the proper configuration of the laptop is:
Three speakers - one left, one right, and one subwoofer module One 3.5mm headphone jack An internal microphone for the webcam (this is one I'm not sure about, I don't know if it is two separate microphones or one as there are two holes in the display chasis)

In my devices while using the default VoodooHDA kext, I have
                Output:
Speaker (Analogue) - Type= Apple speaker port <--- only tweeters work Headphones (Back Right) - Type= Headphone Port <--- this seems to work well Input:
Microphone (Black Right) - Type: Microphone Port <---- this works a little, sounds like it's muffled, not from the webcam Microphone (ATAPI) - Type: Microphone Port <--- this works well, is definitely the webcam microphone

Here is my Pin Config (with disabled devices not ignored as I think the subwoofer is one of those devices):

Here is my Pin Config for the photo above (disabled devices NOT ignored, fix not applied).

Here is my Pin Config for the photo above (disabled devices ignored, fix not applied):
      01871c10 01871d01 01871e17 01871f90 01a71c20 01a71d10 01a71ea1 01a71f04 01271c30 01271d01 01271ea3 01271f99 01571c40 01571d10 01571e21 01571f04
I have been attempting to add the subwoofer as a node in the Info.plist of VoodooHDA but can't seem to get it to work (and frankly I'm not sure which device it is!) . I've tried adding both NID 19 and 20 into my Info.plist file for VoodooHDA but neither have done any good. Am I supposed to add the NID and PinDefault to the Info.plist AFTER Pin Configurator's fix? I was under the impression this only helped with a patched AppleHDA which VoodooHDA overwrites.

Thanks for all the help, I hope I conveyed this clearly!

I've attached my codec dump as well.

I have decent sound and nice volume after installing apple.alc with ##### and then rebooting the machine, but after the next reboot is my max volume very low I can barely hear something from Spotify with max volume and on YouTube nothing.
I have already tryed it to reinstall the kext a few times but after the second reboot is my sound always gone ...

      Someone any ideas ?

      Hi

I have a lynx aes16 pci card installed in my system which works when it wants to!

Sometimes it's fine and sometimes it just stops or digitally stutters, manually unloading and reloading the kext makes no difference and when i reboot i get the following message:

      >>>> Lynx.kExt: No interrupts processed for one second! [0]. Restarting Devices!

It works perfectly in windows, and never had a problem when i was using an asus Z170, so i think it might be a gigabyte issue.

      Any help would be great
      Thanks
