Derek12
Recently i got a new monitor with HDMI - HP Pavilion 22cw It works like a charm in Windows 10 and macosX Sierra, but the latest thinks it's a TV. There is a icon on top right that says "TV connected: HP 22cw" and an option to use it as a separate screen And system report says "TV: yes" Is this because macOS thinks that any HDMI device is a TV or something to look at? Could it affect to a possible future dual monitor setup? Anyway, the monitor displays fine and its resolution is detected properly. Thank you. pianoguy
Try going to the refresh rate option, and see if it has 2 options for the same rates. For example, if it has two options for 60hz, try both. One is TV and the other is monitor.
