@polyzargone what symptom does your card show when booting 10.12 ? The GT 730 is a mess judging on all the case I have seen. It seems you must use WebDrivers to enable QE/CI, but some handful OEMs need to have InjectNvidia=True in order to get it working with WebDrivers ( Asus, Zotac so far ) while some doesn't need it at all ( Gigabyte ). I think the problem is in the ROM of the card. Also do you experience random black screen flickering on your GT730 with recent El Capitan WebDrivers ?

I don't have to use webdrivers at all when booting 10.12. I can boot with Sierra's stock kexts and I do have full QE/CI doing so and it's working pretty well. I don't need Inject NVIDIA = true either and never had to BTW, whether it's El Capitan or Yosemite. Actually, if I set it to true, macOS won't boot.

But I agree that it's probably the ROM of those cards that makes a lot of difference depending of the manufacturers of the GT 730/740 Series. Mine comes from Gainward and I maybe have better performance and/or better support from OS X by flashing it with one from Gigabyte for instance.

Also do you experience random black screen flickering on your GT730 with recent El Capitan WebDrivers ?

Indeed. But not on the whole GUI, just on top menu bar. Sometimes, a black square appears or some extra menus like the Creative Cloud one from Adobe displays with a lot of artifacts. Seems like they're less frequent if not absent on Sierra though.

I'm not really sure it's specific to the 730 since I've also experienced the black square even on my GTX 650 Ti (which is a "true" Kepler and works OOB) when using webdrivers .

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but new CUDA driver is here!!!

8.0.46 got it via pref plane or from here http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/cuda_8_0/cudadriver_8.0.46_macos.dmg

CUDA-Z works now

in Geekbench 4.0.1 selecting CUDA is possible, but it doesn't work for me...

In size it's just about 24MB compared to 45MB from the 7.5.30 version.

EDIT: Just noticed cuda-z version (now) running is 0.10.251, 0.11.259SVN is not working.

@phi: It has been mentioned before. But i didnt know that cpu-z works now.

@all: I did have a chat with the nvidia support. I did ask them for confirmation if there will be a web driver for pascal gpus with a sierra os. I got the answer that the can neither confirm nor deny if there will be a driver in the future :P OH MY GOD. They should tell us at least if there will be a driver in future.... i dont need a release date :/

Hi guys,

GTX 760 worked well with native apple driver till today. After reboot I can't start my Hack without nv_disable=1.

I've tried web drivers, clearing nvram, safe mode, single mode, no cache and so on but with no luck.

Somebody know how to handle this?

Has anyone had success with this driver and having both a Maxwell and a Pascal card? I'd like to use the Maxwell card in macOS and the Pascal card in Windows.

I'd say wait a bit more. Maybe too early to assume that NVIDIA does not support Pascal on OS X. Am waiting (and crossing fingers) as well.

To early. Nvidia needs to do a lot of work to get the 10 series going still.

This most likely less to do directly with Pascal support and more to do with winning back Apple business. Apple is pushing its own standards of OpenCL (instead of CUDA) and Metal (over OpenGL). To get design wins again it will need to work on these two technologies and their support without going back to saying just use CUDA/OpenGL. As a side effect we would see Pascal support, but it's not the main goal and thus not a "Coming Soon" thing.

Has anyone had success with this driver and having both a Maxwell and a Pascal card? I'd like to use the Maxwell card in macOS and the Pascal card in Windows.

For multiple display adapters; you would need to disable one and prioritize the other or just point OS X at a new default PCIe address. Neither of these I have seen working other than the early days when you sometimes needed to override the default bus to 0 or 1. Not sure if this would work for an arbitrary PCIe bus.

I have the 970 in pcie0 and the 1070 in pcie1. Works great, didn't have to do anything to get it working (apart from disabling the 970 in windows device manager and connecting both to the displays). i can see win loading on the 970 and when entering the user password i have to switch the monitor input...

good luck !

still it would be great to have a NVDAGP100HalWeb.kext :D

EDIT: I just forgot one problem: system can't wake from sleep anymore...

Hi Experts,

Any chance I can get 10.12.1 Nvidia web driver here? I forgot to check this site first before upgrading to 10.12.1. The graphic is now painfully horrific.

You can follow what @wastez said unless you removed the webdriver?

@savageAUS,

Follow wastez, NVDASTartupWeb.kext info.plist corrected. Repair permission + cache restarted. Unfortunately, graphic problem same as before. Any other method I can try. FYI, I also used Nvidia Webupdater way but same graphic problem remain.

If you didn't remove your old driver before upgrading to a beta, tweaking the kext will just let you activate it in preferences.  Otherwise trying to install a new one like WebDriver-367.15.10.05f01 will stall on the system compatibility check.  I changed my plist for b01 to support the beta, but recently reverted back to the stock Sierra driver since there were way too many artifacts.  Think I'll wait till NVIDIA updates their drivers.  Nothing really stable yet, unfortunately.

Have you modified the plist for /System/Library/Extensions/NVDAStartupWeb.kext/Contents/info.plist and change NVDARequiredOS to this

<key>NVDARequiredOS</key>
<string>16B</string>

 and are you using NvidiaWeb=true

You won't get your system ok just by booting from pen drive. You need to install close er to your hard drive. And yes you are correct with the NVDARequiredOS, Instead of 16A323 change it to 16B.

I did a fresh install of Sierra, after having some problems with GTX 960 on El Capitan (everything worked well with Nvidia web drivers set on "OS X drivers"). When I installed the latest version of Clover and the latest web drivers, it went to no signal after the white apple.

So, going to Sierra, everything works fine, but GPU. I just installed the latest Sierra web drivers and flagged Nvidia web drivers on config.plist. The result is the same as in El Capitan: no signal after white apple... :-(

I don't know whether my LAN device will work on MAC and Which version of mac but i still want to run MAC on my PC, Also i checked my CPU-GPU and it turned out that i can Run MAX High sierra but i realized that some people have trouble with Sound and Internet connection so Here's the NAME of my LAN device:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_012310EC&REV_05\4&45F2A70&0&00E1 as (LAN DEVICE took the name from device manager in  windows).
also from compatibleIds i got this:
      PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&REV_05

Is it Supported on any version of macOS ?

I have been running macOS Mojave on my system for 3 months and everything was working pretty well.  After taking an update for clover, my entire system got wrecked, and I cannot even boot to an installation environment anymore (which I really need to do since I am starting back at square one).  I still have the old EFI folder backed up, but I know it'll only be a matter of time before Apple introduces an update that requires me to update Clover in order to work correctly.  I have tried all the available memory fixes, but none of them seem to work.  I was previously using the original osxaptiofix; so, I gave v2, and v3 a try, but to no success.  I read somewhere on the main discussion board for clover that AptioMemoryFix was no longer going to be supported and I therefor decided to skip over it (not to mention it isn't even available in newer clover installation packages).

      System specs:
      Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z390 M GAMING
      CPU Intel core i5 9600k @ stock 3.7GHz
      RAM 32GB DDR4 2667MHz
GPU AMD Radeon RX 580 with 8GB of GDDR5
      SSD Intel 660p 512GB NVME
NIC: Intel i210 10/100/1000 as it is natively supported in macOS

I have been using the iMac 19,1 SMBIOs as I built this machine to match it as close as humanly possible.  As for my UEFI settings, I did the usual:
Disabled Windows specific features and secure boot
      Enabled XHCI hand off
      Enabled Above 4G decoding
Disabled onboard NIC since it is made irrelevant by my intel i210

      --INJECT KEXTS--
      FakeSMC
      Lilu
      WhateverGreen
      AppleALC
USBInjectAll -- WITH PATCHED SSDT in /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched
Below are images of the errors I am receiving when trying to boot the macOS Mojave installer.

      with original osxaptiomemoryfix

      osxaptiofixv2

      osxaptiofixv3

Anyway, if somebody can help me figure out what's going on, that'd be greatly appreciated.  My ultimate goal is to get an install with minimal clover patches as to be better prepared when the winds of change from Apple come roaring.

p.s: I have also attached a copy of my EFI folder

Clover r4989 ISO compiled with GCC and minimal config.plist compatible for use in VMWare Workstation.

Tested with unlocked Workstation 15 running OSX 10.9 -->10.15 guest in Windows X64 host.

      Installation
      1. Download and unzip "EFI_Clover_r4989 for VMware.zip". Mount Clover-v2.4k-4989-X64.iso by double clicking on it.
      2. Mount your VM's EFI System Partition eg in terminal
sudo diskutil mount disk0s1   3. Copy EFI folder from step 1 into the EFI partition
      4. Shutdown the VM, add bios.bootDelay = "3000" to your VM's vmx file
      5. Reboot your VM, press <F2> to access the VMware Boot Manager and add CLOVERX64.efi to the boot menu.

Substitute your own unique and valid MLB and ROM variables in the /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist (Rt Variables section) to activate iMessage/Facetime on your VM.

      Hello,

I have installed OSx86 10.11 (El Capitan) on April 2016 on my Asus Z170 Deluxe system.

For installation I used this Thread.

I used it a lot and it worked well. Meanwhile I switched to Linux and I use Win10 time to time. So OSX was forgotten. Also it did not boot correctly anymore.

Now I wanted to start with a fresh installation and use OSX more often again. I want to use OSX 10.13 High Sierra. Is it working on my Asus Z170 Deluxe? I have the same Hardware as of April 2016 only the graphics card was updated to a Nvidia GTX1080.

My Hardware in detail: Asus Z-170-Deluxe (Bios 3801), i7-6700k, EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, Samsung 950 Pro/M2 NVME 512MB, HDD 4 TB)
Can I use some of support files from the old thread for the installation (see attachment)? Can I still use  Clover 2.3k r3292 Special Edition v2 ? Or do I need a newer version?

Has someone installed High Sierra successfully on the Asus Z170 Deluxe ?

About some hints where to start I would be thankful.

      regards
      JackBauer24
