graffspree
I am trying to install OSX on WMware player 12. I get to welcome screen, but when I click on the player I can't move the mouse. Everything I've googled gives me solutions for after OSX is installed. I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard.
trungpt
Did you try with other mouse and keyboard?
graffspree
Not yet. I've got to scrounge up a USB mouse somewhere.

graffspree
Even a wired mouse doesn't work. Cursor stays stuck in the upper left on welcome screen.
trungpt
Did you try with starting all over again? Sometimes, this method is useful to solve transient failures.
graffspree
Several times. Is it possible something is not loading from my ISO?
trungpt
Which version of MAC OS X are you trying to install? Did you create by yourself the bootable image from the official OS X installer app downloaded from MAC App Store?
graffspree
10.11 I didn't make the iso. I don't have a MAC So I download a virtual machine that doesn't have 10.11 installed, just boots to recovery. I was able to get into it fine and it's downloading a fresh install. Wireless mouse and keyboard acting just fine.
trungpt
So, there is a possibility that your bootable image (*.dmg file) is corrupted or not correctly created. I don't know how to check if the image is correct. Maybe checksum would help. Which version of VMware Unlocker did you use to unlock the ability to install MAC OS X on VMware player? Did you read the readme.txt file within the Vmware Unlocker in order to see the supported environments, prerequisites, and limitations?
graffspree
I used 2.08. Must not have a been a problem there as I'm download 10.11 now from the App store via recovery.
trungpt
Did you configure the USB Controller for your virtual machine to be compatible with USB 3.0? If I do the same, my mouse is no longer working.

trungpt
I did indeed. Haha, you need to set it back to USB 2.

Caipo
I had that exact problem this afternoon and then I played around with the usb controllers and then it worked. Unfortunately I don't know exactly what I did.
