What layout id should I be using?

So my laptop has a 3.5mm microphone input and also a built in microphone.

The speakers are working and headphone detecting and auto switching is working though! :D

Same problem here as above with ALC256.

Laptop specs : Dell 5570 , with Intel i5-8250u and Intel uhd620.

Using ssdt for alc256 , codeccommander in l/e and latest build of applealc.

Problem is with headphones audio.

With layout 13 or 56 internal audio is fine but no audio from headphones(headphone are recognised but no audio at all).

With layout 11 or 5 audio from headphones is back but it is at low volume and it is lost after sleep. After second time waking up from sleep it comes back again.

Please help fix this problem.

I have a question. Anyone have a working pass-through of AC3 and DTS streams to the SPDIF output? I have on codecs ALC 1150, 892 and 887 is obtained only stereo. If you use VoodooHDA then AC3 and DTS are transmitted as is. And with AppleALC it turns out only stereo.

Use this,, check the internal mic

AppleALC.kext.zip

Output is working great; input is showing "internal microphone" but it's just white noise and isn't actually picking anything up.

My laptop does have two "inputs":

There is a 3.5mm jack for a microphone; then it has the built in one.

1. Copy hda-verb to "usr/bin"
2. Run codec_dump.sh with "./codec_dump.sh" , open terminal first and "cd ~/locationfolder of codec_dump.sh", save the output
3. Boot into windows and restart to mac,, make dump again.

Upload before and after dump file. Rename it,,

Dump Status HDA.zip

Sorry for the late reply sir :(, my problem is no sound after rebooting from windows to macOS and this is the dump from terminal using the command you gave, Thanks before :)

AC3 / DTS with SPDIF output works only with special configuration of AppleALC on Hackintosh.
Create a special version AppleALC for SPDIF !

Example based on ALC887:

original AppleALC-master / Resources / ALC887 / Info.plist

org_Info_plist.png.898deaf8c076fa7065e33c9e0f4239c1.png

Configuration for SPDIF AC3 / DTS, all null patches to ALC device

specialAC3_Info_plist.png.342b80112919eb5be1aa4eeeff87047e.png

However, this configuration breaks the onboard audio (Speaker / LineOut / HP).

Change according to requirements Release or special version.

not quite right, with broken on-board audio possible alternatively, unfortunately, change the AppleALC
special AppleALC for SPDIF AC3 / DTS or AppleALC release for onboard sound

With Ambient Noise Reduction on it definitely lowers the white noise a ton, but it's still not picking up any of my audio. I did a recording in Logic and its just white noise even with me screaming.

And I saw the ALC299 comments on AppleALC!! Nice, thank you!
