I'm a total newbie to Mac so I'm very frustrated with all this stuff.

I'm hoping someone can help keep me from going insane. :thumbsdown_anim:

I had a fully work 10.4.7 (thanks Jas!!) but then I install the 10.4.8 update and things started messing up.

It would spew page after page of "r2d2" stuff (??), the mouse was totally screwed up to the point of being almost unusable and several packages I installed had quit working.

I had installed Adobe CS2 and it worked fine before, now it won't run at all.

There's several other things that no longer run. When I click to see the info on them, it says they are powerpc applications. Ok, maybe they are but why did they run before but now they won't?

Was there a program on here that allowed powerpc programs to run on intel that's now broken because of the upgrade? If so, how can I fix it?

Because things were so messed up I re-applied the Jas 10.4.7 update from awhile back and now the pc reports it's 10.4.7 again. The PC is a Dell GX240 intel w/SSE2..
