plz help me fix the SATA disk

ASUS A8V DELUXE / VIA VT8237 southbridge

The HD is 300GB NTFS

i have used JaZ 10.4.7 ,10.4.1 deadmoo image and no luck

recently i tried the 10.4.6 Goatsecx DVD and almost everything recognized PERFECTLY but i cant make tha SATA disk to work

i cant even see it as recognized in the utilities

i report this cause ive seen ppl in the forum mention that it supposed to work and its very compatible with my VIA chipset

so can somebody give me a straight answer about working or not

i also have read in some posts about replace the APPLEviaATA.kext with some other new/old kexts? (?) ,modify maybe the info.plist also?

but non of the posts were really clear to attempt something

can somebody with the same specs to help?

thankz

(also in my BIOS i have the SATA disk (300GB) operating as IDE mode and not RAID

if i do it RAID not either the XP recognize it (i was verry lazy to install the Promise controller so i left it IDE)

SOMEONE?

I don't have your answer directly. You will need to search and read other posts. First in windows find your hardware id of the controler. Then read this it is to enable uli chip set through the VIA kexts. You should be able to put your id in place of the ones in this thread.

Search is your freind. You will learn much more if you try it. BLA BLA BLA

It might need to be SATA to see it, don't know.
