Handoff only goes from iPhone to Mac / iMessage connects, but doesn't send messages.

I have my system completely setup with Clover 3259, Yosemite 10.10.5 and completed the entirety of the iMessage guide. My injected ROM values are correct and do not change.

My hardware specs:

• Asus Maximus VI Gene
• Intel 4670K, not overclocked
• Asus GTX 670 2GB
• Apple BCM94360CD

iCloud works no problem and all my data syncs to my iPhone 6. Perfect!

iMessage allows me to sign in and it recognizes my phone number. However, I'm not able to send messages and all contacts appear in red. If I turn on Text Message Forwarding, it's still not perfect. Contacts only appear in green and any message people send to me do not receive on my computer, just my iPhone.

Handoff works fine if I transfer from my iPhone to my computer, but not the other way around. For instance, if I start an email on my computer, the icons for Handoff don't even show up on my iPhone.

I've verified that all my devices appear under my iCloud/AppleID account on the website. There are no duplicate devices listed anywhere. The WiFi/BT card appears to work perfectly, never dropping signal to the internet. Bluetooth connectivity works perfectly with my PlayStation 4 controller.

Things I've already tried to fix this behaviour:

• Removing the plist and cache files from my ~/Library folders
• Completely signing out and back in to my iCloud and iMessage accounts on my iPhone and computer
• Turning Handoff, Text Message Forwarding, and Bluetooth Sharing off and on again

I'm beginning to think that this is an iMessage server authentication issue than anything else, strictly affecting my computer. But I'd rather not call Apple about it until I've exhausted my other options.

I got 2 hackintosh using Imessage.

first hackintosh:

works good, text message forwarding and apple message working (send and receipt)

second hackintosh:

text messsage forwarding not working (code never appear), and most of the time, only send message are visible.

these one have no wifi card, and install is no perfect.

I don't know if that kind of issue is smbios relative or not, ethernet function or not.

i'll try to fix it too.

surely, we will find how to solve it, together.

one thing is sure, i will not have wifi card on the second hackintosh for a time, because it is a ngff .m2 slot, and that's hard to have one (i'm in europe).

cheers

Is BCM94360CD plug and play or did you follow any tutorial to enable handoff? My handoff worked in 10.10.4 but not anymore in 10.10.5

The card is plug and play, and I didn't need any special method to get it to work.

However, I've been reading up on Apple's requirements for Handoff and I'm wondering if I have a problem. My SMBIOS and serial number clearly define a MacPro5,1 machine type from 2012, but About This Mac is showing me that it's a Mac Pro (Mid 2010). The only Mac Pro that officially supports Handoff is the newest, black cylinder one. I think I may try to reconfigure my SMBIOS information and try again, possibility as a MacPro6,1 or iMac14,1 or 2.

I finally get mine to work, both ways. I played with fixing permissions and building caches. I am using a BCM94352HMB which requires clover patch. It took couple minutes for the initial hand-shaking process to complete. After the process is done, it works flawlessly. And I am using the MacPro6,1 definition since I am running the same platform as the latest Mac Pro.

Script file to clone Clover, Opencore (official and unofficial) repos
Script will create link to itself in /usr/local/bin/bob
Wouldn't hurt to check there are no "Bob"'s there, i "Hope" there isn't.
Then you only need to type bob. and a parameter
      "n" for NDK repo, unofficial
      "a" for ACID repo, official
      "c" for CLOVER
It also takes "all" for ALL, if your game

      Easier typing bob than.....usual stuff
      Enjoy

A really good motherboard with macOS compatible bult-in Wifi & Bluetooth

      ASUS Z170-Deluxe (with Wifi)
      BIOS: v3801
      CPU: i7-6700K 4.0 to 4.2 GHz (w/o OC)
      RAM: 1x 16 GB Corsair DDR4 2400 MHz

      Audio: ALC 1150
      Ethernet: I219V2, I211-AT
      WiFi & Bluetooth: Broadcom BCM94360HMB Half-Mini-PCI-E
      More Specs: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-DELUXE/specifications/

      Catalina 10.15.4 - Windows 10
      What is working:
BCM94360HMB Wifi and Bluetooth AirDrop, Handoff, FaceTime, Messages, App Store, iCloud, etc. Intel HD 530 (QE/CI tested, but now I'm using it in headless) Sleep RX 5700 (QE/CI with 2 1080p monitors connected) Sound USB Ports Two Ethernet ports macOS with a light OC (4.12 GHz - 4.5 Ghz, XMP, ASUS optimal) No problem so far ASUS HyperKit with a KINGSTON NVMe SSD - 250 GB
      What is not working:
      -

      Not tested:
VideoProc says that Hardware Decoding\Encoding is fully supported and enabled on both HD 530 and RX 5700 but I didn't test it Thunderbolt (no equipment)
      Issues:
      None
      BIOS Settings:
Boot\CSM (Compatibility Support Module): Launch CSM: Disabled Boot\Secure Boot: OS type: Other OS Secure Boot State: Disabled Advanced\System agent (sa) Configuration: VT-d: Enabled Graphics Configuration: Primary Display: Auto iGPU Multi-monitor: Enabled RC6(Render Standby): Enabled DVMT Pre-Allocated: 128M Advanced\PCH Storage Configuration: SATA Mode Selection: AHCI HyperKit: Enable (if you have NVMe SSD with ASUS HyperKit) Advanced\CPU Configuration: Intel Virtualization Technology: Enabled CPU- Power Management Control: Intel SpeedStep: Enabled CPU- C-States: Enabled Intel SpeedShift: Enabled
      Getting ready for installation:
Download the bootpack (Clover v5107): Click here -> asus-z170_clover_5107.zip
      Installation:
Create an installer with any method you know (- Mac: createinstallmedia - Windows: Transmac, Vmware, Win32diskimager) Copy my Clover folder to the USB's EFI folder Boot with the Installer USB If you have any problem (kp or freeze) boot with config_debug.plist to see what causes the issue
      Post Installation:
Download Clover Configurator and generate a new Serial Number for yourself
      Some pictures:

Catalina & Windows 10 Dual-Boot (clean install, on one drive):
Boot into your Mac installer, Create 2 partitions in GUID table (1 for Win (I used FAT32 but I think it doesn't matter what you choose), 1 for Mac)
Install Mac, boot with your USB, mount your EFI partition (use terminal or an EFI mounter app), create an EFI folder (if there is no folder), copy the CLOVER folder I attached to the EFI folder, restart
Boot into your Win installer, Format the partition you created for Win, install.
Now, it's automatically booting into Windows. To use Clover open cmd in administrator, type:
      bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi
You're done! It will booting into Clover when you start the system, and you can select Win or Mac (or another OS if installed on a 3rd partition).

IF YOU GETTING ERRORS DURING WINDOWS INSTALLATION (could not be formatted, etc):
Make sure you have GPT partitions, and GPT (UEFI) installer, also disconnect all external storage drives (except the installer USB)
      Mounting EFI from Windows:
Open cmd in administrator mode and type: mountvol b: /s (This will mount your EFI) Open Total Commander or Explorer++ in administrator mode to manage EFI mountvol b: /d (This will unmount your EFI)
      Notes:

2020.03.26: Updated to 10.15.4 -> Updated WhateverGreen, Lilu -> Updated Clover to v5107

New here, I used to do macs but mainly PCs now. So please excuse my ignorance. Mac stores are closed in Arizona, My friend has a circa 2015 Macbook Pro.  On startup, the line goes about halfway and then goes to a spinning icon that goes on and off.  I did a disk repair and permissions , but it still does the same.  So I tried to reload the OS, it says not found, apparently you cannot download Yosemite anymore.  So, the rest of my machines are windows.  Where do I get Yosemite and how can I build it on a Windows machine that I can have the Mac start up. Help please.
