PS/2 on Gigabyte board

Hope this is the right place to post this? I have tried installing KEXTS as I have discovered them, some apparently for PS/2 usage. But I have a PS/2 device now and It Isn’t working on my green PS/2 port (or the purple one)?

I am using a Kensington expert Mouse which is really a large trackball with 4 buttons. I have looked at aftermarket controller drivers such as USB overdrive but none wil work as I am currently using a “Y” adaptor to take the PS/2 output of the device and send It to USB. This Y adaptor has an electronic footprint and the aftermarket controllers see It instead of seeing the trackball behind It.

I will have to order a small passthrough (passive) PS/2 to USB adaptor to see if that works. But I am posting here to ask if there is a way to get this working using my hack setup and my Gigabytes built in PS/2? I alwys thought I could do this with the PS/2 KEXTS. Is there somethikng that I Need to do in the DSDT file for this to work?

Clueless.

Thanks.
