Postmastagen
Hi I'm new Ok first off I've searched all over and can't find a fix and was just wondering if anyone has gotten it to install on an Amilo D Series. My specs: Amilo D Series Laptop P4 3.0 GHz 1 GB of Ram 128 MB Mobility Radeon 9600 JaS_IntelAMD_MacOSx_10.4.6_install_DVD I can't even get it to install. When I try to install I get "You need to restart. Hold down the power button or restart" and when I do -v I get a kernal panic error the Appleps2controller.klist. I've read that you can change out the Klist file but that requires it to be installed on the hardrive. Is there a way to patch it on the DVD because I cant even get it to start installing? I've tried "-x -v" no help and I cant disable the onboard keyboard. :/ Any suggestions on what to try or can I just not run it native? Sniggas
Hi Postmastagen, i was able to do it with the following kernel options "cpus=1 platform=ACPI -v -f " this will get you to the install. also you must connect an external usb keyboard and mouse because once you touch the keyboard the kernel will panic. After the first reboot, enter these kernel options " cpus=1 platform=ACPI -v -f -s " and then after you run fsck and remount the drive remove the "Extensions.kextcache" and "Extensions.mkext" if they exist under "/System/Library" , then delete the "ApplePS2Controller.kext" folder under "/System/Library/Extensions". For the installation you will have to enter the kernel options a few times before it will work. dont give up. hope this helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/30169-amilo-d-series-and-install-of-osx/#findComment-258401 Share on other sites
