Buran
I'm testing the recovery process of Time Machine (USB hard drive as backup). I do a full backup of almost a fresh Yosemite installation. I restart and boot from the USB stick that I used to install Yosemite, but I don't see any "Time Machine" options in the Utilities menu like I saw in some Hackintosh video (I'm new to OS X). The option to recover from Time Machine was present later on after the installation, during the first run/setup. Is this normal for Yosemite? And if I choose to recover at this stage, will my custom kexts be recovered?
gynekolog
Same problem with Yosemite Beta 6.
CaptainJack406
Same here - any solution to that, other than have an older Mavericks USB stick ready?
aphex6b
U will need to restart from the recovery partition. But remember this will require the same basic kexts any hackintosh needs (FakeSMC etc)

CaptainJack406
Recovery partition requires Clover and I simply cannot get Clover working properly on my non-UEFI board. I just created a Mavericks USB boot disk, so will use that in case of issues.
