Hello all,

I am happy to say that I have installed 10.9 on my system. I am still missing some items but baby steps should get me there. I have a couple of problems.

One of my main problem is no Audio. I have seen a post about the Realtek ALC 889 but to be honest this is all new to me and I don't understand the explanations. I am not asking for someone to do it for me I am hopping that someone would help me. I know if i learn how to do this i should be alble to fix my Lan and help other.

Can someone please help me.

On 10.9, use a Toleda-patched AppleHDA for ALC889 kext (and set Audio ID to 1 with DSDT)

For LAN, you can hexedit and flash a BIOS with a new Option ROM, or install AppleYukon2Injector.kext.

Side note: has anybody got ALC889 working on P6X58D-E/Premium for Yosemite?
