Hello everyone.
I'm trying to install Maverick on my Asus ZenBook UX302LG-C4007H.
When i try to boot with clover on "Boot OS X Install from OS X Install OS X Mavericks", I'm having this following error :

**********************************************************
This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform!
**********************************************************
Reason: Mac-189A3D4F975D5FFC

I tried to add "Mac-189A3D4F975D5FFC" in from System/Library/CoreServices/PlatformSupport.plist but it doesn't worked.

I've installed clover with those option : UEFI motherboard, EmuVariableUefi-64, OsxAptioFixDrv-64 and PartitionDxe-64
and put FakeSMC.kext and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext in Clover kext directory.

Have you an idea how to boot the installation of OS X on my UX302LG please ?

Thanks

Welcome :-)

I have a UX301LA :-)

You are on the beginning of your Hackintosh way :-)

First: Try to find everything out, you can get everything in this Laptop working :-)

Secound, you have built in a Intel7260 Wifi+BT Card... buy a BCM94352z Card, it have wifi(ac)+bt, and put your intel card to trash :-)

Don't buy any other cards, only BCM94352Z fits your laptop, its a ngff card!

3. On my UX301LA, everything is working, and it makes very much fun :-)

--- I just don't want to explain everything step by step for a noob, please find first the base steps out :-)

If you know the base steps and you get:

1. OSX Running

2. You find out what an DSDT is, how to modify it, etc...

3. Know Kext Utility and ioreg

4. Found out how to get Audio working (without VooDooHDA!!!) (with AppleHDA)

=

I going to fix everything in your Laptop to get it 100% Working :-)

--------

For your problem, you haven't a smbios :-)

Tip: Use Clover! Not Chameleon! (Uefi Only, and disable VT-d and set Sata Mode to AHCI, Leave Secure boot enabled, and delete all Keys in Bios)

If you got it to that point, write me a PM, i will add the UX302LG to my github :-)

One other thing, you have a NFC reader under your touchpad? The UX301LA doesn't have one, i don't know if we get NFC reader working, have no experience with that!

Cheers :-)

Sry, i forgot to say:

1. Mac-189A3D4F975D5FFC is MacbookPro11,1

--- That means: you use a 10.9.1 Installer, it doesnt support a MBP11,1 smbios, simply make a OSX 10.9.2 Installer, or use a MBA6,2 smbios with 10.9.1

-----"I tried to add "Mac-189A3D4F975D5FFC" in from System/Library/CoreServices/PlatformSupport.plist but it doesn't worked."

------ Nice! You are motivated, in this file you forgot to add "MacbookPro11,1" entry :-) (you need to add both)

2. NullCPUPowerManagement.kext (you don't need this) remove it! You need other kexts for keyboard and touchpad for example :-)

---- You have Elan touchpad (should be as a tip enough) :-)

3. After installation you will get a Bootloop :-)

---- That's normal on every haswell :-)

---- You have 2 option, patch Bios for MSR (like me) or patch the kernel :-)

Cheers :-)

Hi iFIRE and  Ramalama.
Thanks for the advice and the help !
I've added what was inside your SMBios.plist in my config.plist but I'm still having the issue.
I'm doing something wrong for sure ... I've check some tutorial about SMBios but got nothing.
I've attached my config.plist, maybe it could help to understand what is my mistake .
ps : haven't seen an NFC reader ^^

Edit : Ok I understand. So I'm going to download again Maverick to get 10.9.2
Thanks that was very usefull advice !

Edit : Oh so I have to re-download Maverick from the apple store to have 10.9.2 ?

Yes, thats the easyest way :-)

Or use a MBA6,2 smbios and Board ID...

Common, you are new :-) You need to learn :-)

Believe me, if you find it self out, you will learn a lot, and we get it 100% working :-)

At least, the clover config is not that hard :-)

PS: But you know that your Nvidia 730 won't work in osx? :-) You will stay with your Intel Graphics :-)

Cheers :-)

Easy but will take me 3 hour of downloading eheh.
Is there issue using SMBios of an MBA 6,2 and not MBP 11,1 in my case ?
I mean : Except in "about this mac", will there be any difference ?

About my 730, yes i've read about it, that's sad :(

Edit : I've added SMBios of MBA 6,2 to my config.plist and I'm still having the issue except the reason is now "Mac-7DF21CB3ED6977E5" (MBA 6,2)
I don't get it.

MBA 6,2 should work for your Haswell laptop :).  Generate SMBIOS automatically using Clover Configurator to edit your config.plist.

Excellent advice by both @iFire & @Ramalama.

This is just FYI but you can overcome the error "Mac OS X can't be installed in this computer" by replacing OSInstall.mpkg inside Install OS X Mavericks.app\SharedSupport\OS X Install ESD\Packages with a patched one (right click the app in Finder and "show contents")- see post by artur-pt and the screenshot below....

System/Library/CoreServices/PlatformSupport.plist

Maybe you breaked this file, by modifying it...

Have you a backup?

MBA6,2 should work with 10.9.0+ installer

--------------

For you, yes but its not dramatically, you have CPU powerstates (clocks)

With MBA 6,2 you get x8, x18, x24, x25, x26, x27

With MBP11,1 you get some more steps :-) Thats little bit better for powersaving :-)

But nothing else :-)

However you can change your smbios later/always.

I have the PlatformSupport.plist from a 10.9.0 installer if it helps....

Edit

PlatformSupport.plist extracted by Pacifist from 10.9.2 Combo Update added....

Edit 2

When I opened the config.plist from your post #4 in Clover Configurator, I see an empty SMBIOS so you probably made a mistake here (you need to click the icon of the magician's wand to generate a new SMBIOS).....

Maybe try the MBA 6,2 config.plist I have attached....

10.9.2PlatformSupport.zip

I've remplaced mine by your but I'm still having the error.
Anyway, thanks for the file !

Edit : I probably made a mistake with the config.plist of post 4. With my actual one, Clover tool see SMBios infos.
I've tryed with your MBA 6,2 config.plist that you attached but it doesn't work too.

Got a "wrong way" error (if that the term ?)
If i put the flag -v, it's say the same error that bla bla bla not supported "reason : Mac-7DF21CB3ED6977E5"

I'll try with 10.9.2 tomorow !

Damm ! I've downloaded Maverick but I can't locate it : It's doesn't show up in Application folder.
As soon as the download is complete, the installation process open up but i'm wondering from where ...

edit : Is there a way to verify in the package content wich version of Maverick is it ?

Yes, that what i've read but it wasn't working.
I think the fact that i've backup my 10.9.1 maverick app in another partition without changing name confused things.
I'll retry
Thanks

Edit : Finnaly I've reach to the Instalation guide ! Thanks !  :w00t:
I'm using fusion71au's config.plist wich use MBA 6,2 SMBios.
