DaveVegas
Dear Community,I have a GTX 680 from Zotac with 4GB memory and here are the specs:http://www.zotac.com/products/graphi...fications.htmlAs you can see the core clock is 1006 MHz which shows in my HWMonitor as 1Ghz so it's correct. However, when I look at the GPU 1 Memory, it says 1.47 Ghz even though in the specs it says that the Memory Clock is 6008 MHz and the memory size 4GB.Is that a cosmetic problem or is my GPU really running 4 times slower?Any help appreciated!Dave
Riley Freeman
I have a overclocked 670 and my RAM is 1502MHz according to GPU-Z in Windows. Multiplying that by 4 gives 6008, so I think that's how Zotac are coming up with that figure.
DaveVegas
So you think all is good with my GPU ?
Riley Freeman
I'd say so. Just be aware that if you use OpenCL at all your card won't throttle down until you reboot. It's a long-running issue with power management on Kepler cards, made worse by Mavericks using OpenCL more at the system level. The only workaround until nvidia fix it is to patch OpenCL.framework to stop OpenCL running on the card.
