Mavericks on a HP Sleekbook b-040sl

Hi guys,

First of all: Sorry for my english.

I decided to install Mavericks on my notebook, HP Sleekbook b040sl.

Here are the specs:

CPU: Intel i5 3317U

Chipset: HM77 Express

Graphics: Nvidia GT 630M (That can't work), Intel HD 4000

WLAN: Qualcomm atheros ar9485

Touchpad: Synaptics

I've upgraded RAM from 4 to 8GB.

More specs at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=it&lc=it&dlc=it&tmp_geoLoc=true&docname=c03565612

I want to install OS X 1.9 on a 30GB MBR partition on my original HDD with W8.1 with a bootloader.

I am reading guides, googling, but I want to know the best guide for installing OSX and I think that is the all-in-one in tutorials section.

I know that Nvidia won't work. Another question: is there any kext or others methods to make ar9485 work?

Thank you guys.

I've a virtualized iAtkos ML with VMWARE for doing mac things.

UPDATE:  i am able to boot the osx installer with -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No cpus=1 npci=0x2000 after deleting all kext Intel* NVDA* ATI* AMD*, for creating the installer i used the guide in tutorials section, but i have patched the 10.9.1 (not 10.9.2 because i prefer update the OS later than redownload 5GB, I've only a 5Mbits Internet) for working with MBR, but, here comes a problem: the installer doesn't recognize the integrated HDD, I know that I have to set my HDD in AHCI mode, but in the bios insydeh20 bios F.05 rev 3.7, I know that is a locked BIOS but there is a method for unlocking that? I know that other notebooks have this BIOS on, is there someone that have unlocked this and going on with the installation?

another question, GParted is good to create a 30GB partition without formatting my existing W8.1 Installation?

Thank you all.

For my laptop Hp Pavilion 15-au028ur worked patch for HP 3165sf
I also experimented with manual patching and assembled my own version:

      #Maintained by: RehabMan for: Laptop Patches #Battery_HP-DV6-1380ek.txt # created by RehabMan 2019-xx-xx # based on Battery_HP-DV6-1380ek.txt # additional patches for dv6-1380ek provided by chihab222, credit gsly # works for: #  HP Pavilion 15-au028ur, per Drovosek into method label B1B2 remove_entry; into definitionblock code_regex . insert begin Method (B1B2, 2, NotSerialized) { Return (Or (Arg0, ShiftLeft (Arg1, 8))) }\n end; # 16-bit EC0 registers #                BADC,   16, #                BFCC,   16, #                MCUR,   16, #                MBRM,   16, #                MBCV,   16, into device label EC0 code_regex BADC,\s+16, replace_matched begin ADC0,8,ADC1,8, end; into device label EC0 code_regex BFCC,\s+16, replace_matched begin FCC0,8,FCC1,8, end; into device label EC0 code_regex MCUR,\s+16, replace_matched begin CUR0,8,CUR1,8, end; into device label EC0 code_regex MBRM,\s+16, replace_matched begin BRM0,8,BRM1,8, end; into device label EC0 code_regex MBCV,\s+16, replace_matched begin BCV0,8,BCV1,8, end; # 16-bit method access into method label CLRI code_regex (\^.*)MBRM replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1BRM0,%1BRM1\) end; into method label UPBS code_regex (\^.*)MBRM replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1BRM0,%1BRM1\) end; into method label UPBI code_regex (\^.*)BFCC replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1FCC0,%1FCC1\) end; into method label UPBS code_regex (\^.*)MCUR replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1CUR0,%1CUR1\) end; into method label UPBS code_regex (\^.*)MBCV replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1BCV0,%1BCV1\) end;
The only problem - when it reaches 100% charge, it no longer falls until you reset the CMOS (15-30 seconds hold down the power button on the laptop). In the rehabman guide there is a patch for ASUS in this case, there is a patch method FBST. There is no such method in my DSDT.
      Can someone help?

      Hi everyone!
      Long time no see guys!
As you can see I am not new user of Insanely and do not want to post in incorrect section, but I can not find any similiar topic at all. I,ve searched the forum and the web and I can't find a solution.
My question is that is there any possibility to install Mavericks 10.9.5 on external drive on the newest Macbook Pro 13 from 2018? I know that the Intel Coffee Lake is new generation of CPU's and there is no drivers in Mavericks system to run this CPU, but I was thinking about it alot and I decided to write here. Because if we can install all the newest OSX, macOS on older machines then maybe we can install older systems on newer builds?

P.S. If I wrote in incorrect topic then please move this thread to the right section, I will be grateful
