neovo
I am going to buy mac mini and use it with my pc. But i face the problem that i only have 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, 1 speaker for 2 computers. And to use this with 2 computers i need kvm switch. I need a switch that has usb port for both keyboard and speaker and also audio port. I do not need video port. Which switch is suitable for me? Need help..

blipoids
Is it possible to control a PC through a kvm swith ? Imac -> kvm -> PC... so that you are only using the imac display?
plugwash
Afaict the imac is basically a laptop without a battery in a different case. so i stronly suspect that the connection to the monitor is NOT DVI or VGA but some internal only interface. you could install some kind of remote control setup but even over a fast lan they are nowhere near the same as a real local monitor. GBK.Xscape
i was also wondering the same idea, if we have a imac or even a macbook pro is it possible to use the screen as a display for something else?
U.C.
If you have two seperate monitors, free software KVM switches are available. Synergy is an open source one. I have noticed, my laptop display has two DVI type connectors on the motherboard. Dunno what they are for though.
