I work in the public sector(education), with Microsoft and if it's something we can't do on our end then Microsoft will put it on their hands.(with a fee of course) But it would still be cheaper for them even too because they could hire techs for probably even less than 1/4 the cost of Microsoft products. Linux is also a lot more friendly on hardware. School district I work for is finally pushing out Windows 7, and 1/3 of the computers are not taking it very well.
