I've created a usb installer with myhack and replace mach_kernel in the root with the latest kernel... when i boot for installation, system reboot instantly... why? i tried to boot with -x and don't work, with -f -v npci=0x2000 and nothing changed... my pc specs: -AMD Phenom II x4 945 -Gigabyte GA MA970XT -AMD HD4850 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294082-reboot-before-install-on-amd-phenom-ii/ Share on other sites
ameris_cyning
myHack includes NullCPUPowerManagement, so AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext not the problem. Maybe its a bad DSDT. However, I have never had an instant reboot with a bad DSDT. It always KP's but it doesn't instant reboot. (Thats in Clover EFI, but myHack uses Chameleon). Lets look at the SSDT first. Do you have DropSSDT=true in your org.chameleon.boot.plist? Shaneee
Please try with this kernel to ensure you do have the latest. Try booting with -f -v npci=0x2000 mach_kernel.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294082-reboot-before-install-on-amd-phenom-ii/#findComment-1971453 Share on other sites
Sbrillo
Please try with this kernel to ensure you do have the latest. Try booting with -f -v npci=0x2000 mach_kernel.zip i've solved with latest bronya kernel and i have no problem at all... only pink/red icon on launchpad and in the banner in the iTunes, and little graphic glitches in dock Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294082-reboot-before-install-on-amd-phenom-ii/#findComment-1971622 Share on other sites
Shaneee
I though that was the issue. You can fix the launchpad but using this app from Duran Keeley. Just add it as a login item to get rid of the launchpad colour issue.
