Slice
Hey, This description is not enough to understand your problem. Your hardware? Your bootloader? Mode of booting? A method to inject graphics properties? Any results? Any dumps?

freeuser16
Normally when you have 1/4 of the screen, dual link patch helps.

panpansh
my 5870 works well on Mountain Lion with graphicenabler=yes and atiports=4 (with two screens on DVI and HDMI) but on Mavericks it sucks .. I have the DVI work but strange resolutions on hdmi don't know why for now
Slice
Resolution depends on EDID and I am not sure the driver get correct EDID through HDMI interface. I will propose you to inject EDID.
