ibr4him
I've spent nearly 3 days trying to make this work but no luck so far! Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3R Sapphire HD7850 1GB I had a working Mountain Lion 10.8.1 with Sapphire 6850 but my card was sent it for repair and they gave me 7850 instead which doesn't seem supported. I upgraded to 10.8.4 and installed the patches ATIController and other kexts, installed FBRotate in /Applications and made sure it runs on boot, but NOTHING seems to work and get its stuck at the whitescreen on boot. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!
mpheus
AFAIK, any application you have set to run automatically at "login" will only be launched after you have logged in. So you need to set your machine to auto-login to your account (Sys Pref > Login Options > Automatic Login - select your account here) so that "fblogin" actually runs. Do post here know if you find any way to launch the app without having to enable auto-login. Also you can press the power button to send the machine to sleep and after it has successfully gone to sleep, press any key to bring it back. It should get you past the white screen. But this is more of a hassle and also time consuming.
