casalgoese
If I can install Leopard 10.5 can also install another version superior? Theoretically my machine accepts another higher version? I installed Leopard 10.5 without problems, but I can not install another updated version, can someone explain to me why?
joe_black
No. Just because you can install 10.5 does not mean 10.6+ is possible. Even a single update (Ex 10.6.3 to 10.6.7) is not always possible! Hardware is important! 10.5 supports PowerPC and older hardware where-as 10.6 does not. Post your hardware and maybe we can help you. 10.6 will require: * Intel CPU (or AMD with patched kernel) * 1GB of RAM * 8GB of disk space * Apple compatible graphics chipset When you say "I can not install another updated version" you need to be much more specific. What went wrong?

Alex009988
For my old HP Compaq nc 6120 Leopard had been working quite well long ago, though it had big problem with sound. On the contrary for the case of having SL I haven't found necessary kernel and drivers so, I can't have booted that machine with SL.. So that, I think for adequate wording of SL you should have dual-core processor and other not so venerable components at least, though with pentium 4 it's also possible.
