What you need:
Niresh 10.8.2 Distro
10.8.4 Combo Update. (not from software update or app store)
Intel Graphics Kext. (Credit Goes to GhostRaider)

qqz49t.jpgGraphics Kext Download

Install 10.8.2 using niresh, and select customizations used:
1.  (Graphics) move graphics extensions.
2. (Audio) VooDooHDA 2.8.2
3. (Laptop) iSightcam
4. (Additional kexts) un-select disabler
5. (Replace AppleACPIPlatform) deselect 10.8.1
6. (Chameleon extra) select mac book pro 8,1

After install and boot into desktop install combo update but do not restart yet. delete all intel graphics kext and use kext wizard to rebuild permissions and cache and restart.  once booted into desktop install Graphics kext from zip using kext wizard (make sure to rebuild permissions and cache again) and edit chameleon boot file in extra folder and add
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1600x900x32</string>
after you have edited the boot file restart. you should now have a working mac 10.8.4 installed.

Things to fix, iMessages, Sleep and battery percent icon.

I hope this guide helps others, i have taken what i have learned from trial and error and put together working solution  :)

      Hey all,
I built my first Hackintosh back in 2012 and its been runner amazing. Thank you again for the awesome guides and forums that made it all possible. I have however hit the end of this builds software limits. I am still running 10.8.2 mountain lion on the machine. I would like to update to Sierra and want to make sure I am clear on the procedures. Now that it seems like everything is could based and no longer get physical versions of OS.
currently i am backing up the system using and external drive and "carbon copy cloner" as shown here: http://www.macbreaker.com/2012/06/backup-your-hackintosh-with-carbon-copy.html

My question is should i follow the set via the App store updates, Wipe the system and start over or is there a better way to achieve running Sierra on my machine?

      Here are my build specs:
      Processor name: Intel Core i7
      Processor Speed: 3.50 GHZ
      # of cores: 4
      memory: 32gb
      Boot rom version: insanelymac.com
Graphics Card: Nivda GeForce GTX 670
      System Version: OSX 10.8.2 (12c60)
i have also attached screen shots of the spec to further help:

Thank you for taking the time to help me out with my build. look forward to getting this bad boy updated.

      Mahalo,

      Hi guys,

I just recently bought a HP Workstation Z640 featuring:

      CPU: Dual XEON E5-2609 v3
      Chipset: Intel C612 Chipset
      GPU: NVidia GTX 980
      Audio: Realtek ALC221
      Ram: 16GB
      Lan: Intel I-218 Gbit LAN
PCIe: HP Z Turbo Drive 256GB SSD

      HP Z640 specs: http://www8.hp.com/h...x/c04400040.pdf

And I wanted to try if it was possible to install OSX on this little buddy.
The fact is that I'm a total newbie with Hackintosh and I don't know where to look for (fore compatibility), what to look for and how to proceed.

      Could you please help me?

      Thanks in advance,

      Not Working : Sleep
      Working : Everything Else

      Extract FINAL_DSDT.zip inside EFI/ACPI/Patched/
Extract config_rc.plist.zip inside EFI, rename config_rc.plist to config.plist
REMOVE ANY EXISTING OsxAptioFix... Drivers from the UEFIDrivers-64 folder and add OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi.
