MainEntries were not vertically centered if they use size bigger than 128px since r4785.

Well, there's no problem with r4784 (Left SS), but the right one isn't (BGM, also any themes with 256px).

Thanks.

I've updated more than 20 themes on the repo, mainly to adapt with new transparency level since (r4728? not sure which exact rev). And yeah, lot of them need to be completely redesigned or just come with another concept:

1. HighSierra

DGJZhTj.png

2. Mojave

NB7WuBf.png

3. One

Spoiler

QhSKx0O.png

4. Clovernity

Spoiler

CV2v2oZ.png

5. Circla, Glassy, Greenify, InsanelyLook, Material, Nightwish, Outlines, Retina & Sphere.

Anyway, sorry if you were annoyed with my commits (did you get spamming notifications via Email?)

So, the first commit was succeeded (though it spent more than 2 hours for pushing 25 themes). But then, it failed syncing to server for unknown reason. Weird is, I got another failed for the 2nd time when trying to fix prev. commit OMG! Or it was just my terrible internet connection, eh.. but I could download any file from SF / GH with no problem at 1 mbps (is it slow enough?). -_-

#EDIT: Nevermind, I've resolved my prev. bad commit (new UI for Apocalypse, BeautyX, DarkBootX, Hex256, Leather, Oceanix & Xmas have been synced to the server).

@Badruzeus The problem is that on the server side if you update so many themes at once they have to be removed and rechecked out on the server to make them available for the app to see. You should only push one theme at a time so you don't get the timeout on the server side. Since the checkout is done with resources that are less prioritized than pushing, it will be slower. It will be faster to just commit each individual theme and push it, although that seems counter productive. Also, I don't understand why everyone always has so much trouble with sourceforge, its never slow for me. Sometimes, its down but every site goes down, especially when it has tens of thousands of projects.

@Badruzeus Using Mojave v1.7 the circle that highlights the current selection seems a bit off centre here (When on the bottom row), is that something I can adjust please?

Yes, I just realized getting that issue too with downloaded theme from SF (or via CTM.app). It seems my latest changes for Mojave's func_ icons (among other themes) didn't properly uploaded / synced on the server. I'll fix them soon and let you know. Thanks.

Hmmmm.... It may be easier to remove all the themes and have an admin run the push hook script straight from the server to checkout all the themes again from source. They are probably completely out of sync. IDK though you may be able to fix it by pushing a simple change, unsure.

Yes, or probably it was my mistake; my bad.. some files were not copied to local repo b4 pushing to server.

I have, at least 3 diff. theme's locations on my PC; local repo (cloned), efi on VM (preview) and internal ESP.

Usually, need to copy from VM to Local repo b4 pushing.. but sometimes, I missed some files.

@Badruzeus hi,

You have something to restore the MojaveX theme.
Thank you.

As you wish, committed to the repo. It now uses 128px as MainEntries by default (though, I'm sure the question about too big or small icons size will be obsolete later.. yeah, I mean with Vector theme for sure #LoL)

So guys, you probably have known that my uploaded themes on the repo got glitchy fonts especially when they use brighter background as seen on screenshots below (left: pixelated "CPMono" font). Well, it should be fixed on next update (right ss: "Droid Sans Mono"). The issue is not caused by font family actually, but bad design.. that is.

screenshot2.png

Rather than this, you also get this log with almost all of my themes:

Warning! Character width 11 should be even!

... it could be ignored but yeah, the warning is right bcoz I use:

		<key>Font</key>
		<dict>
			<key>CharWidth</key>
			<integer>11</integer>
			<key>Path</key>
			<string>Font_CPMono_16pt_White.png</string>
		...
		</dict>

I know about this issue, my another bad font (design). OK, will be fixed soon: for all my themes.

Thanks.

Any idea when (probably) MainEntries allignment issue will be solved?

(Sorry, I'm getting bit frustation now.. honestly -_- I just get well from my sick). Yes, curently I'm working on a Vector theme as well.. but I realized that unCommitted r4785 temporarily was not a good idea for both GUI, Raster theme is well alligned but Vector isn't or vice versa (might be my bad script kiddie). I could running 2 diff Clovers for one mach, ofc on separated partitions but it' s even worse.

So, what I should to do?

How do you think what part of 4785 commit is wrong?

He's saying that either the raster themes or the vector themes are off centered by having or reverting that commit, they are not both centered either way. He gave some screenshots in which they are not. Currently raster themes are off center, but he said by reverting that commit they are centered but vector themes are not centered anymore then.

Because vector themes have main icon size 128 and in this case we have good centering with both vector and raster themes.

I still not found the bug.

Looks like 256 px icon support was initially wrong.

Here's a theme I've been working on.

Does anyone happen to know if it's possible to show a separate icon for OSX install volumes from OSX boot volumes?

Icon for OSX Install already separated from OSX boot.

I may propose a workaround to add "row0shift" settings into Theme.plist file. It will affect only theme where it set.

I think you're talking about there physically being another icon/entry for an installer , but I meant theme-wise.

Like for recovery volumes, there's vol_recovery.icns, but I couldn't find anything like that for install volumes.

The closest thing I found was manually naming all the named OSX releases (os_hsierra, os_moja, etc) and setting os_mac to the installer icon, but when I tested that with a Mojave USB installer, it seems the installer just used the os_moja icon.

I'm not sure if this question should be addressed to you or @Needy

As what I read (though, I don't understand what it meant) bcoz theme that use "BootCampStyle=true" is also not well alligned:

Commit [r4785]: revise bootcamp style, by Needy

These have been added (that I uncommitted on later revs to get MainEntries 128px++ centered )

/rEFIt_UEFI/Platform/Settings.c
+INTN BCSMargin = 11;

/rEFIt_UEFI/refit/lib.h
+extern INTN BCSMargin;

/rEFIt_UEFI/refit/menu.c
\\more changes here.

Screenshots below are using ClassicalX theme (attached) with "BootCampStyle=true", and yes.. it uses 256px for MainEntries (blackosx's BGM256 also has aliignment issue, but only after r4785).

The 1st is using r4813 built from source w/o touching anything:

r4813_repo_untouched.png

The 2nd is a same rev with unCommitting r4785 changes:

r4813_unCommitted-BCS.png

ClassicalX.zip

If this commit changed something with BootCampStyle, I'm bit confuse why it affected another style.. -_-

      I'm gonna come straight out and admit it - I used newb tools which are considered taboo on InsanelyMac, and so this isn't so much an installation guide as it is a green flag to anyone considering the same hardware. My first and previous Hackintosh project was just over ten years ago and this site was massively helpful, so this is my (very small) way of giving back.

      ADVICE
      With the Clover configuration, you want to pay close attention to all things relating to graphics. There are some specific settings for ACPI, Boot, Devices and Graphics which should be copied exactly in order to get the iGPU and dGPU to work in perfect harmony. For instance, make sure you use ig-platform-id 59120003 rather than 59120000 if you want FCPX to be usable. With the right settings, FCPX will not only run, but run flawlessly.

      I was not able to figure out how to make NVRAM/PRAM behave itself, and I got errors when I tried to issue relevant commands. As a result, I could not at first get iMessage to work properly. It worked once on my first installation attempt but not from subsequent attempts. This Clover configuration therefore has no consideration whatsoever toward iMessage reliability - however, iMessage ended up working somehow, anyway - I noticed it after I'd updated to 10.14.3 but this may just have been coincidence.

      Onboard WiFi does not work. There is no driver for it. I'm using wired ethernet to a bridge router as it was cheaper than getting a compatible PCI card.

      Audio is working well after I installed the z370 audio patch, then the ALC1220 codecs, then AppleALC.

      With kexts for generic 3rd party SATA and generic 3rd party eSATA, my HDDs and DVD drive work perfectly well.

      Sleep/Wake functions run perfectly. iCloud functions run perfectly. Shutdown leaves the mobo LEDs on, annoyingly.

      My USB 3 ports seem to suffer from low power output, and I don't know why.

      Overall, this system appears to run about as well under MacOS 10.14 Mojave as it does under Windows 7. I would solidly recommend this build to anyone looking to build a computer for workstation purposes, on a budget.

      Good morning, everyone, I'm sorry if I was wrong in choosing the topic but I need help.
      I have found it extremely difficult to mount a Hackintosh in my acer.
      Setup;
      I5 2430m 2.4 6GB RAM
      Mobo P5we0 - Intel intel Graphics 3000
      At the moment I have not found out what my audio codecs are.
      but I'll leave the link on the motherboard.
      however, my real problem is several.
      I have already used the itakos image, I have already used several images that could be installed normally and that after installing the image I do not have internet via cable or wireless.
      And another, I already looked in other forums and I know that I will be called a donkey in the logical question but I have not been able to install the ##### or clover to start from the Hard Disk, so I do not know what to do.At the moment I still do not know if there has already been someone who has already installed the High Sierra or just the Sierra in this notebook model and obtained permanent success.
      If anyone can help me, I'll be grateful.
      Installations without success, but with the system already installed in ACER;
      SIERRA
      HIGH SIERRA
      MOJAVE
      All with the same symptom. Starting only by the bootable USB stick and without internet connection via cable and wireless.

      Since rev 4844 Vector Themes are supported and there are ready-to-use Clovy by Clovy, cesium by Slice and BGM_SVG by Blackosx.
      You may see it's structure to create own theme
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Now I want to add vector graphics support in Clover. See rev 4560 and later.
      It is not working yet but designers may begin to create Vector Themes.
      It supposed to consist of SVG elements and has design size. It will be rendered to any screen size scaled from design size.

      What application in macOS can create SVG graphics?
      Inkscape is not working in macOS 10.11+. Pity.
      LibreOffice Draw works with SVG but buggy.
      Boxy SVG cost 10$ but looks good enough. It creates the best in simplicity files and have more then enough features.
      Illustrator is good but expensive.

      How to improve SVG file?
      Clover has restricted support for SVG. It is your job to make compatible file and as small as possible to speedup rendering.
      Some helps:
      Help:Inkscape – From invalid to valid SVG Inkscape files
      From invalid to valid SVG Adobe Illustrator files
      From invalid to valid SVG files of other editors: BKchem, ChemDraw and CorelDRAW
      Help:Illustrator – Assistance with creating and saving SVG images in Adobe Illustrator that will pass W3C validation
      User:Quibik/Cleaning up SVG files manually
      Later I will write own instructions specific to Clover abilities.

      How to create SVG fonts?
      You can google to find ready-to-use SVG fonts. I found some problems with too beaty fonts: slow rendering and overflow crash. Be careful.
      You can get ttf or otf fonts and convert them into svg by using online WEB services. Not a problem to google.
      But then I want to find a way to simplify the font to reduce a size and speedup rendering.
      You can create own font by FontForge It is opensource and available for Windows, Mac and GNU+Linux. It creates otf font which you can convert to svg font.
