Slice
Hi, You have to add something like this to your config.plist <key>SmUUID</key> <string>00000000-0000-1000-8000-010203040506</string> <key>BoardSerialNumber</key> <string>C020321JWMANN771H</string> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287733-imessage-problems-and-uefi-clover/#findComment-1904916 Share on other sites
jwmann
Hi, You have to add something like this to your config.plist <key>SmUUID</key> <string>00000000-0000-1000-8000-010203040506</string> <key>BoardSerialNumber</key> <string>C020321JWMANN771H</string> I added this into my config.plist as-is but there was no change. Perhaps I need to generate this numbers? I also added my regular serial number back (same as the RTVariables except without the five 0's at the end of it) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287733-imessage-problems-and-uefi-clover/#findComment-1905509 Share on other sites

nyolc8
For me imessage never worked, but for me it's "crying" about my appleid ("this apple id cannot used this time for imessage"), not about the service or other things. But If I create a new apple id, it's not working with that too, so I don't know what is the problem. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287733-imessage-problems-and-uefi-clover/#findComment-1924343 Share on other sites

theconnactic
iMessage is a paid service. You must have apple id account with credit card attached. What?! No, my friend: it's absolutely free, meaning that you can use it free of charge. It requires a working AppleID, and while it's very hard to create one without a valid credit card - remember, Apple profits on paid apps, so that's understandable - such an AppleID can be created by just "buying" a free app in the App Store or iTunes Store. But then again, that doesn't mean at all that you will incur in any fees or charges by simply adding a valid credit card to your account, so i'd just recommend that. Repeating: iMessage and other advanced OSX services are absolutely free of charge. What frequently happens with the "incomplete" AppleIDs, the ones which doesn't have also your credit card number, is that sometimes the system won't accept them for some advanced services, such as iMessage, and the fact is that we don't know why is this way, none of us. But even this situation can be easily solved, assuming the basic Apple services enabling steps (NVRAM string in RTVariables or FileNVRAM module, Ethernet built-in flag and a properly set ethernet driver, etc) were carefully followed: you just need to log in legitimate Apple hardware and, voilà, it's solved. Since the day i bought my iPhone, i never had a single login issue. All the best. Slice
You bought your iPhone, so you paid to Apple. If you have no iPhone attached to AppleID, please, attach a VISA. There are numerous checks of the advice. Sorry. jwmann
Well, I thought this thread was dead. Anyway, I have an iPhone AND a Visa connected to my Apple ID. My Apple ID services work fine for my MBP, iPhone and other more legitimate Apple products. I still haven't been able to get around this problem. xanderon
hi guys, i'm new to clover but already managed a lot to fix. i use the newest clover 2298 version but i still can't get iMessage to work. the MLB and ROM injects for SMBIOS didn't help and i read at the wiki, that these commands are depreciated. en0 for app store is working and iCloud is also working. i also added a CC to my appleID and i also have an iphone to work with. as far as i got: the error message with the support number is instantly coming up. my console snippets: 19.11.13 11:15:22,585 soagent[2463]: No active accounts, but FaceTime or Messages is running.
