intel d2700dc mobo

hi i have a intel d2700dc board and a nice echo sound card and a lic to radiologik dj

 

i cant use the echo card on the mac pro i have due the the echo card being pci

 

my question is i know atom support was removed in a SL update but i cant seem to find any info on compatibly on the d2700 cpu i could live with 10.5.8 but the drivers i have found on line say 10.6 so i dont know if it will work on 10.5.8

thanks but thats for 10.8.x would the 1.6.8 atom mach kernal patch work on the d2700

 

or can i use the 10.6 kext on 10.5.8

 

i would like to eather use 10.5 or 10.6

 

also are there any how to guides to for installing and updating 10.5.8 or 10.6.8 on a atom

in according with Intel Atom D2700 descriptions, we can see that this CPU supports 64-bit instructions but in reality, these instructions are "disabled" by Intel,

 

so logically we can't instal OS X Mountain Lion on it.

 

for OS X Snow Leopard, you will certainly have to patch the original mach_kernel, maybe meklort could give your more help. ;)

Hi!

 

Just install the newest chameleon package and, under customize/modules make sure you select the Kernel Patcher module. Then Chameleon will automatically patch the kernel for you on-the-fly, without being necessary to find and replace your vanilla kernel by a modded one. All credits to Meklort.
