Need help installing Lion for AMD system

I have new AMD system assembled. I want to install Mountain lion or Lion in my PC , My pc configuration below. I am new to MAC OSX installation. I am basically a designer i need MAC for my designing purpose. Please do help me.




Proc - AMD FX-4100


Chipset - AMD 880G/980G (RS880P) + SB810/SB850

Graphics - Onboard(ATI/AMD Radeon HD 4250)

Memory - 8GB

HDD - samsung 1TB



Please do help me installing MAC OSx.


I have the retail iso of Mountain lion.

Hey ananthkishan,


AMD isn't the most supported for Macs, which run on Intel processors. The graphics almost entirely don't work. I do know that it CAN run, just not well.  


Check this link out, ignore the Biostar board. Just follow the steps he says :)

With the AMD kernel, I've had bad results with even AMD graphics (no QE/CI).  A very bad experience in OS X.  Nvidia doesn't work at all.

With Mlion, the kernel creates artifacts with AMD ATI 4/5/6

your 4250 is not compatible in osx


You have my same chipset for now test lion 10.7.3 / 5
