I am simply trying to patch the HPET so I do not get a HPET panic when I boot. Any help would be appreciated, and advise on how to do this myself would be great too. Thanks in advanced. Can you try the following, and upoad the unedited files here? I am really trying to get sleep to work, and battery icons to show up. (voodoobattery does not display a battery.) I used DSDT-Fixer (fixed most errors) and DSDT editor to fix the remaining errors, apply patches, and remove the warnings. The SSDT has been generated with RevoGirl's script. If you get a kernel panic after using the SSDT, it could be that the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement needs to be patched. How to do this is explained in English in the second post of the following topic: http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1003 I generated an SSDT, because the extracted file did not contain the information needed, i normally extract the third one, but it could be different on other systems. You should take a look at my patches at: https://github.com/RehabMan/HP-ProBook-4x30s-DSDT-Patch You will have to figure out which ones are applicable to your laptop.
