Moutain lion Installation on an external usb drive?

I want to install ML on an external usb drive will this be possible?

 

My Computer hardware info is :

 

PC Information

Processor Intel Core2Duo T6300 @ 1.86GHz

Video Card AMD Radeon HD 6670

Motherboard Gigabyte G41MT-S2PT

RAM 4GB

Wireless Card D-Link DWA-525 Wireless N 150 Desktop Adapter

 

 

I have a Lion 10.7.4 on VMWare on this Desktop

and a Lion 10.7.2 on an HP Probook

 

any suggestions?
