It was not a problem, the pdf has done the job. No need to complain about that !

OSX 10.1 works as well as on my old mac Pro. The wifi connection is good. Obviously, it is still a problem with the 10.2 beta  for some users. I only have a problem with my microsoft mouse. The right button has been configured as "double click" in the Intellipoint menu, but every time I boot, it returns to "secondary click" and I have to change it. Any idea to fix this?

Most components have been found on ebay, like ... the FW800 ports card for the headers ...

Where did you find the FW800 headers??

Can you post a link?

Thanks,

The card has two Firewire IEEE 1394b ports and one LAN connector RJ45 bracket provided for a ten years old Asus P5AD2 mobo. Got it on  the bay from a seller is  in Carlsbad calif. I didn't need the PJ45 bracket, so it's easy to unscrew it. I had not the occasion to use it yet, but I'll test the assy. tomorrow with a camcorder and Imovie. Anyway, it fits perfectly in place, you just have tu plug the 2 purple connectors in  the 2 headers , assuming that Assus and Gygabyte respect the ISO headers configuration: I'll have to check this point  first....

attachicon.gif No. No part number. I just found it was part of the  ASUS P5AD2 premium bundle, the left top one.

.

Man, I love you! I had that exact same board and have the left-over connectors and never even occurred to me to go and check! :) Thank you a lot! :)

Christ, these must come up for sale once a decade... So frustrating that there isn't a reliable source for this after so much time...

I'm running Yosemite and have working Airplay including mirroring.

You must use a valid smbios config for airplay, I'm using iMac13,2.

One problem I have is that my 3770k ony uses two multipliers x16 and x35 with the imac13,2 profile. Using macpro3,1 all multipliers are unlocked.

How can I fix this? Do I need to generate a SSDT?

OK so I've finally got a little time to try and do a proper defaults.plist. Has anybody done an iMac13,2 SMBIOS in their default.plist that they could share with me? I've done some searching but the plist I was looking at had so much stuff in it that I doubt I need it all and I wasn't sure what I needed to change or if leaving all the extra values while changing others to iMac13,2 would screw anything up. Also, my OZ folder isn't on my boot drive EFI partition. It's on my data drive EFI partition. Can I just copy it over to the boot drive EFI? Will that cause any issues? I'm not against doing some reading if anybody could point me to a instructions on all this. The Ozmosis thread is simply too large to sift through and discern what I need and what I don't.

I am using just my discrete card : MSI GTX770, the INTEL HD is configured with the default 1479 bios values .

For the mac specs, I'm using a Mac Pro 6,1 MLB serial number with the NVRAM to have my mac seen as a Mac Pro and it's a bit strange since before the 1479 bios it was not a matter at all to get AirMirorring working. So.. Where do you put the smbios file ? I probably missed something or did not well understood how to do, in addition to the configuration of graphics cards.

By the Way, I'am looking for a way to get iMessage working again, My project is to clone a real broken Mac : MLB + ROM, Do you know where to put the ROM value ?

It should go into the Oz directory (the directory should already be there) on the EFI partition. You can use Disk Utility to mount the partition and then copy your Defaults.plist file on it

Is anyone having problems with the USB3 ports (header and back plane) with Yosemite?  Every time I plug anything in (mouse, iPhone, etc. ) I get an immediate lockup and have to reset.  I don't believe I had this problem with Mavericks.  I haven't seen anything in the logs that indicates what is going on.  I've checked the System Report.  It shows the following for the USB 3.0 Super Speed bus:

  Host Controller Location: Built-in USB

  Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBXHCI

  PCI Device ID: 0x1e31

  PCI Revision ID: 0x0004

  PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086

  Bus Number: 0x0a

Any suggestions?  This is kind of a bummer, as I have a number of USB 3 devices, not to mention it would be nice to use the front panel connectors on my case, and not crash my system.

I succeed to mount the EFI volume, but all my folder are empty. Would give me the precise folder ? /Volumes/efi/EFI/Oz/Acpi/Load I guess ?

No, in fact I'm trying to do this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/?p=2060421.

Since it's a QUO Mobo, I assume that the ROM value registered in OS X is derived from the integrated LAN or Firewire Chips. So my choices : overwrite the integrated LAN and (maybe but not sure) FireWire Mac address or better Inject the cloned ROM Value somewhere. I believe it is a variant of "sudo nvram 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:BiosVersion=IM131.88Z.010A.B05.1210121459", I'm getting nut to find it !

      Grazie.

      Ciao a tutti.
cosa posso fare? grazie a tutti

      Hello guys.
This is not my first hackintosh, but this will be the first time to create a hackintosh with thunderbolt.
First of all, i have read some info about MoBos with Thunderbolt, but im a bit confused.
I need to create a working hackintosh with Thunderbolt 2/3 .

At this moment i know that we got 2 options (Correct me if im wrong),
-we can get one MoBo and ad a Pcie Card with thunderbolt (only if the chipset is compatible)
-we can get one MoBo with thunderbolt integrated via USB-C connectors (like the new Macbook Pro)

What are the possible MoBos that have integrated Thunderbolt vía USB (or directly thundelbolt ports)?
I have read a lot of buyers guides from some webs , but a lot of that MoBos with thunderbolt enabled, are "discontinued" or without stock
Should we only choose Gigabyte MoBos?

I Have been too looking at Gigabyte website, and seems that the Chipset Z170 its the only one with Thunderbolt (vía USB-C)
      ports.

Could you help me with these please?

      Thanks You So Much!

      Hello.

It's been about 3 or 4 years since I built my first, and so far only hackingtosh. I did so fallowing a guide written by good guy ^Andy^, witch came with hardware recommendations. I now feel it's time for me to upgrade to a faster system to keep up with heavier work loads. I'm strongly considering building a hackingtosh around the new i7-6700K Skylake processor, but I haven't come across guides for  this type of processor. I was wondering if any of you could recommend me a motherboard that's compatible and that won't become a hassle when trying to install OS X. Also, if there's a guide you know of, please let me know.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hi,
      I'm currently running a Windows 7 x64 PC with:

      8GB DDR3 Ram

      AMD FX 4170 GPU

      AMD Radeon HD 7870 CPU

      1TB HDD (Windows 7)

      150GB HDD (Blank)

      Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 Motherboard
I am aware that getting OSX on an AMD machine is not an easy task, but can it be done with my setup?

I am currently running OSX 10.8.3 in VMWare which is OK but lags a fair bit and lacks any kind of 3d acceleration and would like to be able to dual boot it natively alongside windows on the 150GB HDD.

      Thanks
