Suggestion ;

Keep this thread clean. Post only new kernel build (own/found), and update the first post. Do not discuss problem / bugs here

Please add/update LION raw86/connactic/sinetek kernel (all work with arch=i386 & DP2 Finder, Athlon x2 3800, tested 10.7.4 & 10.7.5)

I just made some more updates regarding Bronzovka's kernels and Nawcom's 10.6.8 kernel. What do y'all think about moving this to the wiki so anyone can add kernels?

Good idea! :D

"Working AMD kernels" or something.

To fix the xpchelper issue:

1) Wait for xpchelper to crash. (Even if it doesn't, I think you can still continue as long as the command in step four outputs the expected "different" folder.)

2) Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app.

3) Login as root:

sudo -s

4) Find the correct folder. It should be first on the list and will be in a different subdirectory of /private/var/folders/ than the others.

find /private/var/folders/ -type f | grep -i com.apple.xpchelper.cache

5) cd to the desired folder outputted by the previous command:

cd /private/var/folders/vl/xxxxxxxxxxx_xxxxxx_xxxxxxxxxxx/C

(Your output will be different.)

6) Remove the cache:

rm -rv com.apple.xpchelper.cache

7) Replace it with an empty file:

touch com.apple.xpchelper.cache

8) Make the dummy file read-only:

chflags uchg com.apple.xpchelper.cache

9) You're done! Reboot, and all should be well!

If you ever want to undo these changes, follow the above up to step six; xpchelper will then be able to create a cache again.

That issue has not been resolved yet. You're much better off running Lion with Bronzovka's 32-bit kernelspace 64-bit userland kernel which works perfectly with all supported GPUs.

That said, if you want to use Mountain Lion, you could have a look at the Working ATI Cards thread; the few working cards have been listed there.

Good luck!

"Still waiting For Root Device"

and is is working on (AMD Athlon ii x 2 245) with Pegatron M2N68-LA and Assus M2N8-AM SE2 and Gigabyte GA 78LMT-S2PT

and ATI 6770
