I have been working on my Dell D620 for a few hours now. I think, thanks to this great community, I have everything set up. Everything but sound... I am wondering if anyone has this model of machine with the default HD Audio card. The vender is 8384 and the device is 7690. If anyone has managed to even make it show up in SysPrefs I'd love to get a reply. lotus49 Posted October 6, 2006 Share Posted October 6, 2006 I have a D620 too but I gave up on the in-built sound hardware and bought an imic (USB sound card) on eBay - it was cheap and it works fine. It's pretty small but if you aren't wearing headphones you'll need external speakers, which is a bit of a pain in the arse.
