Did you install a dual boot system which has one from Apple together with one from Microsoft?

And you find that the time is not properly synchronized between the two systems?

I think the more efficient way is to perform the solution on the Windows regedit. It's very simple.

( Changing the time zone in OS X does not turn out to be a permanent solution)

1) Boot into Windows

2a) If you are on XP, click Start, Run, then type regedit.exe

2b) If you are on Vista / Seven / Eight, click Start, then type regedit.exe in the search bar

3) Go and find this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ ControlSet001 \ Control \TimeZoneInformation

4) Now right-click the mouse anywhere on the white space in the right area and create a new DWORD (32-bit)

5) Well, now you should name the new DWORD RealTimeIsUniversal

6) Double click on the new DWORD whose name is RealTimeIsUniversal and change the value of the DWORD from 0 to 1

7) Restart and boot into OS X. Set the correct time then boot back into Windows. Now, you have set the time of both systems correctly

8) End *** If you want to make the modification directly from OSX, install this pkg (by apple square). **** PKG not tested by me.
