Hey, I have an ASUS X54C-RS01. I'm trying to install OSX86 on it with i b o o t +OS X 10.7 DVD (made from InstallESD.dmg in the 10.7 installer from the App Store). I am able to boot to the i b o o t screen. Once I insert the DVD (and push F5 to refresh my available boot devices), I select OS X 10.7. Within seconds, the machine automatically reboots. Even verbos is verboten (see what I did there?). Please help.

Here are the specs:

Intel Celeron B815

2GB DDR3 1333

Intel HD graphics (some lower spec'd version of the HD 3000 I'd presume, since it is just a toned down version of of the dual core sandy bridge mobile chip)

USB 3

Not sure of what else. If you need more, let me know.

I have the same laptop.

The intel HD graphics is a HD2000 and not a HD3000.

(This is because of Celeron, if it was the same model but with I3 processor , would had the HD3000)

So , impossible to use for hackintosh (no graphic acceleration).

"Intel HD Graphics" is like HD2000. A little bit slower. In terms of driver is the same.

I'd argue otherwise

I remember there being a patch/driver/thingy at some point that was released for the HD 2000.

So, do you know anything to boot into OS X for installation or not?

HD2000 will never work. Also you are asking us for help so please be kind to others. Also the method you are using to install Lion is impossible. You must use the USB installer. Use the install guide in my sig.
