if i wanted to do this then do i:

1: just skip the steps of the os versions i don't want? ( i would like a dual boot win7 and mountain lion

2: do i need to use a specific install image for use of the samsung R530 regarding OSX or does the hardware work out of the box?

1._That version should work fine...

2._i use a dmg image to create the bootable usb after you install kext for touchpad works and bootloader, after you need install kexts for audio and wireless.
