Daniel_x
I have only JUST managed to get OSX86 installed on my laptop, and that was by installing Tiger. However, after all this, there is one last problem. The resolution... It is stuck at 1024x768 and wont let me make it larger OR smaller for that matter. My computer screens resolution SHOULD be at 1280x800. It also says this so im unsure what i should be doing >.< ive googled around for a kext but nothings coming up :'( I also tried to edit the com.apple.boot.plist but thats dont nothing also What SHOULD i do XD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283466-screen-resolution-stuck-at-1024x768/ Share on other sites
Zainuintel
So first i would like to ask, what is your Graphics Card, also try downloading OSX86Tools, once opened, on the bottom section there should be a button called 'Add EFI Strings/Boot Flag' There should be this kind of layout after clicking that: On the 3rd textbox which talks about resolution (1024x768x32). For you, just type '1280x800x32' (without the inverted commas) click 'Apply Changes' and restart. But doing this only gives you resolution, if you want full graphics acceleration, you have to get a kext, tell me which one you need and i will try to find one for you, so what is your graphics card? 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283466-screen-resolution-stuck-at-1024x768/#findComment-1864687 Share on other sites
