macgirl
GOOD NEWS: After all of the above, it is recognized as supported! What does it means? Does it boot or just DATA only? Did you set up RAID within BIOS or with Disk Utility?
TomA2
What does it means?Does it boot or just DATA only? Did you set up RAID within BIOS or with Disk Utility? It doesn't boot--I haven't tried to boot with the new kernel, though. In any event, this is not a big concern to me. I used SoftRAID. http://www.softraid.com/ Se here for interesting info on RAIDs and Macs. http://www.barefeats.com/quad08.html
mdg
http://www.barefeats.com/quad08.html These guys seem to imply they are booting from RAID 0? Is this possible?
westep23
Yes on a mac pro. The problem is that you need to use guid partions (a.k.a. EFI Partion Table) for raid. A Hackintosh cant boot a guid partion only mbr partion table.
