djfremen
Hey guys, I have three XW8400 running avid media composer well in Lion 10.7.4. The only thing lacking is Quartz Extreme. I have to boot in "arch=i386" because of the nVidia conflict and of course laggy video. I've searched the net for two hours and looked over many posts. Looks like the only viable option to get Q/E on these machines in EFI String from an 8800. I assume I'd disable Graphics Enabled = yes in org.chameleon.Boot.plist. Does this seem like the proper solution? Anyone have a success story with either of these cards in Lion? Thanks much,
Rampage Dev
Using my DSDT injection method with the Nvidia Mac OS X Drivers seems to work for the majority of Nvidia GPUs.
