XsaGti
Hi! I have a P5W DH Deluxe, with ICH7 and Raltexk ALC882 audio. after ones modifications the sound works great. The other day, i broke the 6 connections of the sound of my MotherBoard. And after don't have sound. I did install a Creative SB PCI 128. And disconect to de Bios de sound card of the motherboard. I read in the forums, that de Cretive Sound Cards not work, but .... when i boot my pc, i find that the sounds works. I heard music in iTunes, and first function good, but when the time pass, the sound lost quality, and one moment the sound isn't good. If I press pause, and change the song, the sound work good other time. In quicktime pass the same. If i look a Film, when pass the time the sound dissapear, but if i press pause and play, the sound works good. In preferences of Mac OSX: The line In change (respect the ALC882) and say that I have AC97 Audio (PCM) and in Output apppears the MIC, CD, Line In, Stereo Mix and Mono Mix, with teh ALC882 this no appear. How can I heard the sound good all the time?? Any solution??? aed0101
Hi XsaGti. I have the same sound card and the same problem. So far there seems to be no solution for that problem. This card uses Ensoniq AudioPCI (ES1371) Driver written by Maxxuss and here is the info from the bugs section in his Release Notes: The second issue is the quite disturbing sound stuttering. It seems to be caused by a missing or broken support of the DAC frame counter register (for at least DAC 2). I checked it with SuSE Linux (as Linux also uses the DAC frame counter during playback), and it has the same sound stuttering problems. Good Luck!
