Gizmoloon
I have a Compaq 6720s with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7700, 2GB RAM, Intel GMAX3100 and OS X Lion 10.7.4. I have been experimenting with different configurations to achieve full Graphics support, (QE/CI, 1280x800), different DSDTs, Kexts and the like. I've now come across an issue. In Verbose, I get the error. IG: Invalid firmware max backlight setting If I use the Kernel Flags, -v -f GraphicsEnabler=Yes, I get. IG: Invalid firmware max backlight setting IG: Invalid firmware backlight level setting IntelMemory::init IntelMemory::init InitPool: offset= 0x08000000 size = 0x08000000 Then the Laptop just sits at the current screen without booting to the desktop. The fan will spin sporadically but not much else happens. Does this mean I've made some sort of progress? And, if so, how can I get it to boot? I'm using Vanilla Kexts from 10.5.8, the Macbook Pro 7,1 SMBIOS and no DSDT.
