Averty
First off all, I dunno if its actually legal to talk about MacVidia in here. But I coulnt really find any better support. Second, my specs: Mac OS x86 10.4.6 Pentium 4 HT 3 GHZ Proccesor 1 GB RAM nVidia GeForce FX 5600 256MB Videocard What I did: I have recenty installed the latest MacVidia driver (MacVidia Installer 1.0.8). And after a reboot, I coulnt get into my Mac OS anymore. I just get a black screen, with on that: Out of Frequency Range. I have tried doing the following in the Dos prompt (pressing F8 while booting mac): (-f) "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32@75" (-f) "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" (-f) "Graphics Mode"="800x600x16@60" (-f) "Graphics Mode"="800x600x16" But still, no luck at all. The weard thing is, I have seen people getting it to work on a GeForce 5200 videocard, and 5700. Also my videocard is listened in the wiki as Supported. But still, it doesnt work. Are there any suggestions? Or is there maby another nVidia driver out there for Mac? Or do you want to tell me, that I can't use a driver at all? mcfresh
Don't forget to put back IONDRVSupport.kext to the extensions folder. btw, why not go to the macvidia homepage and look for the uninstall guide, which u can find in the forums there. Pyro2927
remove all the files i think rm -r /System/Library/Extensions/NV*.kext should work and then refresh your kext cache chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions i know you needed this a long time ago, but maybe itll help some others now
