HI, i've successfully installed mountain lion DP3 retail on my pc ( spec. in signature).

All work perfectly the only problem is ,that at boot i need to use UseKernelCache=No otherwise the boot process stop. It's stop after usb detection..and no signal of life from the HD led.

Any one know how to fix it??

PS: i use chameleon 1973, the last one

hello

try to use appleahciport and ioahcifamilly from lion ....

and see if stop using kernelcache

after install that kext , before make a copy of the original ones

sudo kextcache -prelinked-kernel

to rebuild the caches

good hack

Impossibile trovare la partizione dell'assistente di avvio=unable to find boot partition. Appears OSX not recognizing your HD as bootable volume, along with crashing of some core apps, primarily imAgent/Mesages. Try Artur's suggestion first, If still issue try reinstalling the Essentials.mpkg from the installer, you can just double click it to install, and verify correct boot drive is picked in boot section of systemPrefs, owners are enabled and correct permissions and owners set for /, do not apply any changes recursively, can then try to repair permissions again with diskutility. If all else fails a clean install to a clean disk with no other partitions on it maybe as last resort.

Tank you very much. This worked pretty good for me and solved my last issue.

To use UseKernelCache=Yes you MUST have all your kexts in S/L/E, NOT E/E and you have to rebuild the caches as described above.

I had this same issue and your post solved it for me in the easiest way. I just used Kext Utility to install my extensions from E/E, removed them from E/E and rebuilt cache.

Thank YOU!

I'm having the exact same problem with Lion on a Dell T5400 using MyHack.  I tried the method Jermaine151 used but it did not work for me.

I have permanently set in my boot.plist file

UseKernelCache=No

but I don't think its the right kind of solution to keep.
