MSI Wind Nettop PC 1.6GHz Atom 230 processor / DVD burner / 2GB RAM / 700GB drive / Excellent Condition

The eBay auction is for one MSI Wind Nettop PC in excellent physical and operating condition. There is only one small, barely noticeable scuff on the top of the housing.

eBay Item number 370609368865

This PC includes:

  • SAMSUNG DVD/CD burner with 2MB Cache,
  • 2GB system memory (RAM slot on motherboard filled to max capacity),
  • 700GB SATA internal drive.

The price is less than a third of the original cost.

The MSI part number is MS-6496-020.

This is a great little computer.... with a stellar reputation. At NewEgg.com, 253 buyers gave it a rating of five out of five.

The computer boots quickly and smoothly into a "hacked" Leopard 10.5 Mac OS X operating system.

The MSI Wind Nettop PC is an all-time favorite of "hacktivists." Today, this particular model is difficult to find.

Thanks for looking.

    • somehow I can't post a topic using safari and Firefox on Mac. no box for inserting text, is this kind of maintenance?
    • Hello Allan!   I do have ACPIBatteryManager.kext and if i use IntelBacklight then I get stuck on boot with an error along of the lines of "busy timeout, (60s), : 'PEG0'". I have tried to patch the DSDT but failed. If i understand right, ACPIBatteryManager.kext needs DSDT edits to work? same goes for IntelBacklight?   EDIT: I tried to edit my stock DSDT using MacIASL again and i applied the battery patch for Asus Q550LF from @RehabMan Repo! I also applied the AsusFNkey DSDT patch. Now the battery meter pops up when i unplug the laptop. If i plug the charger back in, then the battery meter stays but does not update to show that the charger has been plugged in. Ive attached the DSDT below.. DSDT.aml.zip
